I currently have availability after school on a Friday.
With over 35 years experience in childcare, Outstanding Ofsted registered and inspected, PACEY insured childminder Abi, offers an outstanding service to families throughout the local area. A home from home environment, where children are valued and are given opportunities to discover, understand and expand their knowledge of the world. A wealth of fun activities, both at home, and out and about within the community and wider afield are offered. Fresh, home cooked food and snacks are provided daily. I am Forest School Trained and we spent time outdoors in the woods, learning and playing, building self esteem, and developing communication skills.
I AM ABLE TO OFFER FUNDED SESSIONS FOR 2, 3 & 4 YEAR OLDS.
Outstanding registered childminder Abi, had many happy families situated in and around her old home town, with many children staying as part of the family for years. Please ask to see references. Children can be taken to, and collected from local preschools and Kirkbymoorside Community Primary School.
I moved to the area 13 years ago, and have discovered so many exciting places, I can't wait to share them with the children. Come and join the fun!
My Experience
I worked as a qualified NNEB nanny for 14 years, and since then I have been a childminder. I have cared for newborns to 12 yr olds, and several sets of twins!
I have also taught in a nursery school, and I volunteer in school with reading, writing and learning tasks with year 3. I thoroughly enjoy my time in school.
I have 2 children of my own. My son now lives and works in London, and my daughter is at university.
My Qualifications
Abi is NNEB and montessori trained, completed the Diploma in Home-Based Childcare with an A grade (NVQ level 3) in 2008, and was judged as outstanding in her most recent Ofsted inspection. ( SEPTEMBER 2021 ) Abi was also graded as outstanding in her previous two inspections, and is delighted to have retained her grade.
Abi holds a paediatric first aid certificate, a food safety certificate, health and safety certificate, has been inspected by the fire service, and attends other training courses to keep knowledge up to date. (child protection, EYFS, manual handling and more).
I recently completed my Forest School training, and we spend a lot of time out and about in the woods, learning and playing.
My Availability
I have availability after school on a Friday. Other afterschool spaces may be available depending on the needs of my current children.
I am available for full time, termtime only or holiday only care. Please contact me for care requests.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.20 per hour
- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
£5.20 per hour for regular sessions including meals, snacks and the majority of outings!
£6.50 per hour for term time or holiday only care including meals, snacks and the majority of outings!
