About Me

I decided to pursue becoming a registered Childminder after having my first child, Lola, (who is now 12) and I started thinking about my options to enable me to balance my job and being a mum. I wanted a new challenge and direction for our future and I quickly realised that there is no better way to balance these things than by running my own nursery in my home. I found it so appealing that part of a childminder's job is to not only look after and care for children but to also plan activities throughout the year and carry out observations, it seemed perfect for my next venture.
I have extended my home so we have a separate area for the setting - it is a safe and welcoming environment for children and there is a variety of stimulating toys for children of all ages as well as a book corner, a messy corner, and a home corner. The children will have different activities set each day, all complying with the Early Year Foundation Stage framework,
One of my main goals is to make you feel relaxed and happy about leaving your child(ren) with me. I have two amazing assistants, (one of which is my mum) who are all dbs checked, completed the safe guarding course and first aid qualified. We are always looking for new ideas and courses to attend to improve our knowledge to pass it on to the children we look after. I am very loving and affectionate and will adapt to respect all needs and wants as I know how important consistency is. I have close relationships and bonds with all the children I have cared for in the past, as well as with their parents which further highlights my ability to successfully care and look after children.
I am situated on Baring road just a 6 minute walk to Grove park station
