About Me
Dear families,
I'm Virag, originally from Hungary with 9 years of experience working as a nanny in the UK.
I consider myself a loving and nurturing person, who is reliable and responsible. I enjoy spending quality time and having fun with children, singing and teaching songs and nursery rhymes, playing board and card games, doing arts and crafts, reading and baking/cooking, being outdoors and visiting museums, parks and farms.
I like sports, hiking, travelling in lesser-known countries, learning languages, getting to know different cultures. I love volunteering at world sports events, and for charities. I'm a keen cyclist (I cycled along the length of the border of my country in 2020).
I'm vaccinated, have settled status in the UK, and I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate from 2021 and a full UK driving licence.
My Experience
I came to the UK and London as an au-pair in 2010 and started working as a nanny in the beginning of 2011.
From 2011 until this day I have worked with 6 families, two of them a nanny share, my penultimate position was looking after 10-month-old twins, and in my last role I looked after a child with leukaemia, and a 5 month old baby. I also have experience with a child with diabetes.
I grew up with dogs, and happy to spend time with them, walk them. I have experience with a dog with behavioural problems.
I registered with Ofsted in 2013, again in 2023, and I'm currently not registered.
My Qualifications
I have a certificate in Common Core Skills and Knowledge (as part of the Ofsted registration),
I hold a full clean UK driving licence and a Paediatric First Aid certificate from 2021 to be renewed in late 2024.
I have an Enhanced DBS.
I have a masters degree in Cartography, a Level 5 TEFL certificate, a Level 2 NVQ in spectator safety, a Level 1 British Sign Language and a Level 2 certificate in Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering.
My Availability
I'm looking for a SHORT TERM (3-4 months), 4 or 5 full days per week nanny position, preferably live-in, so I don't have to find a place to rent, and happy to relocate!
