My Summary
About Me
I do not currently have a space available.
Ofsted registered childminder, graded outstanding. I'm a mother of two adult children who have now flown the nest.
I have a large range of educational early years toys, books and equipment to give the children plenty of choice and access to stimulating activities.
I believe that young children learn best in a loving environment where they can build confidence to achieve and develop to their full potential. I base my planned activities around the experience and ideas of the children. Each child is unique and this is why my care is developed around the child rather than the child having to fit in with the care being offered.
Weekly activities include:
Morning planned activities with other childminders at children's centres and local toddler groups. During the school holidays we venture further afield visiting places like conservation centres, farms, beaches and other places that tie in with children's interests.
We are very much an outdoors based setting with the benafit of home comforts, where children have extensive learning opportunities, using Imaginative play and exploration. Setting them up for a future of independent learning.
I live in a Victorian conversion flat that comprises of a ground and first floor with a large garden. To encourage free flow play I have a well equipped summerhouse with all modern amenities.
The street has free parking and is a short walk or bus ride away from Woolwich Arsenal station, DLR and The Elizabeth line.
My Experience

Before I became a childminder I worked for Greenwich Council for over 10 years transporting and assisting children with SEND. From leaving school I worked and volunteered in nurseries and playgroups. I have also been a London bus driver.
I have been involved in a lot of campaign work around equalities and workers rights. Sat on and chaired various committees.
I have two grown up children of my own. They are no longer living at home. The oldest studied and worked within politics. She is now a local primary school teacher. The youngest is currently at university studying architectural engineering.
I a Food Safety Hygiene certificate and prepare healthy home cooked meals for the children in my care. (This is included in the Price).

Lisa has been looking after our son for almost two years and we are absolutely delighted with the care he receives.
Lisa provides a caring, stimulating and varied environment for all the children in her care. She takes our son to various groups and activity centers and there are also frequent trips out and about to local and further afield venues.
Lisa‘s facilities are excellent and spacious and there are a wide range of toys and games.
Our settling in process was very well managed and there weren’t any tears although our little boy was only ten months old when Lisa first cared for him.
Lisa’s advice during COVID-19 has been excellent and her procedures have been safely adapted.
I would not hesitate to recommend Lisa to anyone looking for an excellent and highly experienced childminder.
Myself and my husband are exceptionally pleased with the care my son receives while with Lisa. He has been minded by Lisa since late March and has settled in amazingly well. Lisa answered all of our questions, understood our concerns at leaving our son and worry and put our minds at rest.
We are pleased with every aspect of our sons childcare.
The activities always sound fun and engaging with lots of variety and the facilities and toys at Lisa's are immaculate, well maintained, safe and there is a great assortment of age appropriate equipment. Lisa also takes the children to at least one 'stay and play' session.
Lisa provides wholesome, varied and nourishing meals and snacks.
Our son is making great progress and I do believe that part of this is down to the time he spends with Lisa and the other children in her care. He always greets Lisa with a big smile and that in itself speaks volumes from a toddler!
I believe Lisa works hard to meet the needs of all the children she cares for, she has been accommodating of my sons needs and practicalities of returning to work.
All in all we are very pleased we 'found' Lisa and have someone we trust to look after our little boy. An excellent childminder- second to none.
