I LOVE MY WORK! I am available worldwide.
I am a loving and caring Maternity Nurse who will be committed to helping you. I am available on a very flexible basis, maternity nurse, proxy parenting, or temp nanny cover. I am passionate about childcare and am very nurturing.
I have many lovely references from families I have helped with new babies, but also families with older toddlers and children, that are happy to talk to you.
I have worked with one parent families, families with multiples,same sex couples assisting with babies born abroad using a surrogate, and many other fantastic families.
My latest roles have included maternity care for a newborn baby and twins who were exclusively breastfeed, and caring for a newborn that was mixed feeding allowing me to fully support the new parents by having the baby/babies through the night working 24 hours and totally committed. I have recently worked with newborn twins who were breastfeeding and in a lovely routine by the time the booking finished. I have left families with a sleep/feeding schedule that they are happy with. Maternity care for a newborn twins, and continuous care for twins from 3 months to 5 years. I have covered regular proxy parenting whilst parents have been away both in this country and abroad. I accompanied new parents on their first holiday abroad with their 4 month old - taking care of the baby through the night. I have offered advise to new parents, and telephone help has been consistent.
I have 3 children, however they are 28 27 and 25. I had two home births and breastfed all 3 till they were 9 months. I have helped parents establish sleep patterns they are happy with, and also given advice on introducing a bottle. I have experience with newborns to 26 year olds! I have worked with children for over 30 years and it still remains my passion! My husband and I also spent three years fostering and we still have a lovely bond with the child we cared for. My Experience
My experience is from Newborns to teens. I have cared for both twins and triplets from newborn, along with sibling groups of up to 4!!. Before having our family I worked for many years as a nanny, working abroad and in the U.K. I met and cared for some fantastic children, lots of whom I am still in touch with-even though they are now adults! I worked as both a live in/out nanny. I have also been a registered childminder and again cared for many children. I loved my job as a foster carer, and felt honoured to be asked to care for a child in great need. My husband is a full time tennis coach and is very much part of home life due to being self employed and taking all school holidays off. DBS is on the update service, and available.
As an approved foster carer, I was continuously taking training courses from child development to working in partnership and safe guarding.

Helen was a wonderful babysitter for my 2 year old and I would be happy to recommend her to anyone. Upon arrival she easily consoled my usually tearful baby and entertained him while I got ready to leave. She was extremely capable and I would not hesitate to use her in the future.

We contacted Helen as due to work commitments, we needed some ad-hoc child care. She was more than willing to help us out.
Helen babysits my 3 year old on a regular basis, both at my house and hers - weekdays and weekends. My Daughter loves both her and her family.
When my daughter spends time with Helen, I know she will have fun, and be in a save an loving environment.
I almost dot want to post this, as I'd like to keep her all to myself!!

Helen looked after our twin boys aged 17 months for 24 hours when we needed some much needed R+R. The boys took to her instantly and we felt at ease leaving them with her. The boys were thoroughly entertained and Helen kept us up to date with their activities throughout the day/evening.
Thomas was very upset when helen left which goes to show how well they bonded with her. We would have no problem in recommending helen and its just a shame she doesnt live closer so should could be our nanny to our boys!

Helen provided care for my 2 children, boys of 10 month and 4 years in a very loving and caring manner. Her approach to childcare and engaging with the family is non invasive but very effective and supportive. We have been very, very lucky to find Helen and I only wish we could have kept her for a longer period of time .
I would strongly recommend Helen. Helen also has a fantastic, calm approach essential for supporting a working mum! We wish Helen the very best for her future.

We got in touch with Helen when we needed short term childcare cover whilst my mum was recovering from an operation and my mother in law was in Australia. We have two year old twin girls and they immediately took to Helen. (We have always been able to rely on family for childcare before and this was the first time we've left them with anyone else so this was incredibly important.) Helen has a fabulous, natural manner with children and they were extremely happy and relaxed in her company. She kept them continually entertained and busy during her time with us, with the perfect balance of fun and educational games and activities, lots of which she brought herself from home. She was always organised, punctual and reliable. We can absolutely recommend Helen as a nanny without hesitation. She made a difficult period for us extremely easy.
