My Summary
About Me
I have been a childminder for 18yrs and I have loved every minute of it. I live with my partner Gordon who is also my assistant. I have one son who is married and I have three beautiful grandchildren too.
We go out most days to parks, soft plays, farm and zoo etc.
The children are well socialised and have the lots of fun while learning . We create a fun and secure environment for all children no matter what their age.
We are very much a home from home environment and child led.
I also do school runs to Griffefield Primary in Heatherton.
My Experience
I have been a been a childminder for 20yrs. I have been looking after children from 6months to 11yrs old for over 20years.
My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in home based childcare. I am Ofsted registered and insured with NCMA. I also have paediatric first aid training.I also do lots of online training to help make my setting fun and interesting for the children
My Availability
Mon to thurs 7am to 6pm
Friday 7am to 5pm
Hours can be flexible to suit the individual needs of parents.

Shirley feels like a family friend to me and to my children. I know she would be there for all of us under any circumstances. Shirley has been our childminder for over 6 years (though it feels like we've known her forever) covering pre-school care and before/after school care. During my daughter's pre-school time there Shirley always provided a variety of activities out and about all over, at no extra cost, as well as chill out time and craft activities at home. Both of my children love going to Shirley's and certainly feel like it's a second home. I feel confident that they would approach Shirley with any difficulties if I wasn't available and that she would help them through it.

Shirley cares for my boys after school providing a warm and friendly family environment where all of the children are happy and well cared for. My boys love going to Shirley and it is so reassuring to know they are safe and happy. Shirley is always kind, calm and welcoming and I couldn’t ask for better care for my children.

My daughter absolutely loves going to Shirley’s. She is amazing with the children and I always feel happy leaving her. Shirley has always been very accommodating and flexible too.
