About Me
I am a married mother of 2. My daughter is 18 and my son is 14. My son attends the local Secondary schools in this area. My husband of 20 years is a paramedic. My daughter attends Wiltshire college but still loves spending time with me and the little ones.
I have a 12 year told Labrador. He loves his ball and happy to watch the world go by.
My Experience
I have worked as a childminder for 12 years. I have grown and learn so much from this job and feel I have so much to offer children. I used to help run a stay and play group for a few years before I moved away and it’s helped me adapt activities for all ages. I love the outside and incorporate this when I think about what I will be doing every week. I am a member of forest childcare Association and explore nature around us on a daily basis. It’s so much fun to learn from nature!! We explore everyday.. every day is an adventure.
My Qualifications
Childminding course completed summer 2012. Paediatric First aid completed Feb 2024( I renew this every 3 years) I also attend Childminding courses in the evenings when they are run to improve my knowledge and bring new experiences or do online courses. I completed my face to face Safeguarding Vulnerable People course on 18 January 2024 . I have joined National Trust to further develop myself and the children in my care on our culture and history. I promote British values in my settings and offer a variety of activities to promote different cultures and religions. I had my OFSTED Inspection in November 2023 and was again graded a solid good in ALL areas, I am happy with my inspection. I have great feedback from my current parents and we communicate on a daily basis.
March 2020, I had enrolled with Swindon College and have completed a distance learning course and am hoping to complete a number of more courses to help improve my knowledge and understanding of children and their behaviours. I keep myself updated with Online courses. I am constantly looking and taking online courses when they are provided.
My Availability

I love the outside and take the children out and about every day. I provide all waterproofs but do ask parents for wellies. I love the outside and am a member of the Forest school association to expand my outside learning.
I work closely with other local childminders and we often visit local rivers, forests, quiet friendly beaches, The New Forest and have day trips out together. I am a member of National Trust and most weeks are visiting historic places with the children and educate them on our local history. We love the outside and have found the children greatly benefit from our trips. I also have an annual membership to Finkley Down Farm and Cholderton Charlie Farm and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.
I am a very creative person and love setting up activity tables for the little ones. I take a real interest in the children’s likes and incorporate them in activities whilst still focusing on Maths, English, Physical development and many more ares for learning.

Finding the 'right' childminder can be a challenging and nerve-racking task, especially for my wife and myself as this is our first child. Chrissie made the process incredibly simple, understandable and provided a hugely welcoming attitude.
Day to day Chrissie made sure to keep us up to date with loads of photos of our boy enjoying himself at the multiple events and groups Chrissie took him to. He loved playing with all of the toys at the play groups, loved crawling around and more than likely sneezing in the parks. He especially loved the petting zoo - nice to see he wasn't asleep unlike his trip to Marwell Zoo with his parents!
Chrissie also made sure that any dietary requirements were adhered to. With our boy having a milk allergy, she made sure that no dairy was anywhere near him and was sure to triple check any food and drink given to him.
Thank you so much Chrissie for the service you have provided. We didn't feel as though you were our childminder, but instead apart of our family. We'll be sure to be in contact again if we need any care for our boy.

Thank you so much from your kind words. It doesn’t matter what age, I like to involve all the children in our adventures. It’s finding the right activity for all! Learning through play is key! Your little one settled well and was confident to join in with others and explore what was around him. Every child is different and being able to get to know the children and their likes and dislikes is key! Spending time and observing and working out everyone’s Next steps helps with their development.
Our daughter absolutely adores Chrissie and her family, talking about them often at home and will run in to cuddle Chrissie with pure happiness. We cannot rate Chrissie enough taking the children out daily and we have loved the daily photo updates. Our daughter has grown so much in confidence and socially so thank you so much xx

My son has been with Chrissie for 12 months since he was 6 months old, starting from the beginning she put me at ease going back to work with such a young son. She sent me photos messages putting my mind at ease that he was having a brilliant time with out me there. As he has got older to the toddler stage she has continued to help him
Grow reach milestones above his age. She is always out and about no matter the weather from farms to playgroups also the library. If your looking for a family environment that no two days are the same then chrissie is one to consider.

Chrissie has looked after my daughter for the past 2 and a half years (since 10 months) and I cannot rate her highly enough. She always gives us a daily update and we get photo/video updates during the day. She always ensures that they spend time out of the house either outdoors at an activity or attending local preschool groups. We get regular updates on our child’s development via an online portal including the activities that are tailor made to support Early years education and development. Chrissie also minds our older school aged daughter and equally ensures activities that keep her entertained and challenged.

My sons 2 and has been with Chrissie now for 20 months. He loves every second he has with Chrissie and doesnt stop talking about his fab days he has with her. Hes learnt so much in 20 months and always comes back with lovely art work to show me and tell me about.
I couldnt fault chrissie as a childminder at all, shes a lovely caring lady with a lot of knowledge on children and there needs of all ages.
