About Me
UPDATE: I am currently in the process of opening a small nursery in Bedminster called Beansprouts :)
I am a qualified childcare professional with a lot of experience, ranging from nursery to school ages. I am currently full for nannying, but I am available for the odd babysitting!
My former and current employers would describe me as a hard and passionate worker; I enjoy working and take pride in my work always embracing my working surrounding and giving it my all. I really love working in social environments as they are so diverse and always offering a new challenge. I find it easy to speak to new people and build up a good rapport with them, both parents and children and working with colleagues. Organisation is very important to me in both my working life and home, and I always manage to create a healthy balance between the two.
I feel I have a good initiative when working and am able to calmly deal with tricky situations or just tricky children! I enjoy getting involved and keeping the children busy and I'm always thinking of new ideas for activities and games for the children to enjoy!
Luckily I'm not squeamish and nappy changing or grazed knee attention doesn't bother me, which is handy for this area of work! I have no worries about preparing food for children I am given care of, and am able to prepare healthy and balanced meals which are age appropriate.
I have a full drivers licence which I have held since April 2011.
My Experience
I am a qualified childcare professional with 14 years of experience across various childcare settings. My approach with the children in my care is kind and patient, focusing on promoting their independence whilst also having a lot of fun learning through play and physical experiences. I have worked with ages from birth to 11 years and am fully confident in supporting children across these ages. During this time I have worked in the following childcare settings:

My Qualifications
I have 10 GCSE's completed at Bohunt School.
I completed my study of Childcare Learning and Development BTEC National Diploma at Alton College, during this course I also completed a paediatric first aid course.
I graduated from UWE in 2016 and now hold a BA in Early Childhood Studies.
I have worked under OFSTED and EYFS criteria during my times at work placements so I have a good understanding of how to plan activities and games that will benefit children.
