About Me
My name is Sally and I live in Lady Bay,West Bridgford with my husband. We have 4 children ages 28,26,23,20 and two granddaughters. Our youngest daughter is at Uni so is around in the holidays and our other daughter is back at home after finishing university.My children all attended Lady Bay school so I have excellent links with the school, I also have excellent links with Lady Bay Pre-School and the local Toddler group.
I have returned to the childcare profession after a short break when my last child was small. I re registered in July 2012. I am a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare And Eary Years)
We live in a detached house with a beautiful large garden. I have a purpose built playroom for my childminding business. We are close to Lady Bay School and the local park. We live a short distance from WB town centre and all the facilities there. We attend local Toddler groups, Caterpillar Music, Soft play the library and West Bridgford park as much as we can. We are also frequent visitors to Stonebridge farm in the city and lots of other parks around Nottingham. I provide a safe caring environment for children, providing them with opportunities to play and develop at their own pace. I provide messy play activities on a daily basis and children are given choices about what they would like to play with as much as possible. I am a huge fan of books and we read lots of stories every day, I have a vast library of personal children’s books. We also sing and dance every day, using musical instruments whenever we can. I attend a music group every week with the children. During the spring and Summer we watch tadpoles grow into frogs and Caterpillars to Butterflies as well as growing seeds and later harvesting beans and tomatoes. The children love these activities and remember each year the routine and learn something new each year as they grow older. I provide all meals and snacks, using freshly prepared ingredients. I encourage healthy eating and we often cook, bake together. I received an Outstanding grading from Ofsted in January 2017 and have just gained another outstanding grade in December 2022.. My Experience
I am NNEB qualified and after finishing this course I became a Nanny. I worked as a Nanny for 12 years. I cared for a number of children from ages 4 months to 10 years. Over 35 years experience of childcare.
After I had my first child I became a Childminder and again looked after pre- school children and school age. I am also a Mum to 4 children and have gained extensive experience with my own children from newborn to teenagers!
I re-registered as a Childminder because I missed working with children and love being with children of all ages. Childminding fits in well with my family and I feel strongly that home based childcare is the best for the under 5's. The children I care for now, are secure and happy with me and enjoy each day. Parents go to work knowing that their child is happy and secure and having a great time. Indeed the children never want to go home and are always very happy waving goodbye to their parents each day.

I am flexible about hours and will be happy to discuss with parents.
I am registered for childcare vouchers.
I work term time only as I feel this fits well with my family. I currently have no vacancies for pre school children until September 2026. From September 2026 I have a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday space. Please contact me for further info. My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
My daily charge is £60 including healthy snacks and home cooked meals. 3/4 yr old vouchers incurs an extra fee for food and outings. (Currently £7 per day)

I accept Chidcare vouchers and funded children.
