About Me
My name is Jane and I have lived in Brookwood village for 21 years. I started childminding when my own children were very young after a career in travel and tourism. My "babies" are now 21 and 16. Josh, the 21 year old is currently waiting to join the Royal Engineers in the Army and Ryan is going to Merrist Wood College this September to do a course in Sports Technology. I have 2 pet pygmy goats at the bottom of the garden....makes a change from fairies...which the children love to pet and feed, and 2 bearded dragons in a vivarium in the childrens playroom. Not the usual pets but it does make for some very interesting conversations! Childminding is kept to my downstairs...a lounge, playroom and kitchen diner which opens out onto a child friendly back garden with plenty of equipment and toys to amuse the children.
I offer a home from home environment for children in my care with plenty of opportunities for messy and varied play, including painting, cooking, playdough, dresing up etc etc. I also undertake a daily activity which involves us going out to either toddler, childminding or surestart groups, soft play, parks and various local walks.
My Experience
I have been childminding since my own children came along and have 21 years experience.
I have looked after children from as young as 3 months to the grand old age of 12, often looking after subsequent siblings.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are all up to date and constantly being updated as per Ofsted and Early Years requirements........certificates are available upon request.
My Availability
I am available to look after children from young babies to secondary school age.
I work 5 days a week from 0730 to 1830.
I currently do preschool drops and collections from St Saviours in Brookwood and school drops and pickups from Brookwood school.

From the first meeting to my daughter starting full time at 9 months old, she has always gone to Jane's house with a big grin! Every day is packed with activities from feeding the ducks, playgroups, and softplay to playing with some of the many toys or in the large back garden. Jane has also helped two over anxious first time parents through teething, crawling, illnesses and toddling with what seems like an infinite knowledge of childcare. I cannot recommend her highly enough and will be devastated to leave as she truly feels like part of the family.
