About Me
I am a registered home childcarer. I have been a Nanny since 2020. Previously I was a registered childminder for 16 years graded Outstanding by OFSTED and awarded by a panel of childcare experts the title Childminder of the Year 2012 in the Nursery World Awards.
I have worked in childcare sector for 31years. During that time period I have worked in a special needs school with children aged between 5 and 16, an after school club with children aged between 3 and 14 and managed day nurseries with children aged between 3 months and 11 years.
I have four children aged between 29 and 40 and seven grandaughters and one grandson.
I welcome all and will treat all children, parents/carers with equal concern whilst treating every child parent/carer as an individual with unique needs. As such I will do my utmost to cater for any particular specific needs where possible.
Since Covid 19 everyone's circumstances has changed as a result of this I am now looking for part time live out nanny positions. I am registered as home childcarer with Ofsted.
My Experience
I have a wide range of skills with particular skills in special/additional needs, behaviour management, child protection and child and adolescent mental health. I am able to organise my business efficiently and effectively with my childcare membership this also gives me access to a variety of training opportunities and professional support. I have also worked in conjunction with Canterbury University taking students on placement from their Early Years Graduate Leaders Course. I also have excellent listening skills and have undertaken training in counselling so that I can interact with young people in the most effective way possible.
My Qualifications
I hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Risk Assessment and Fire Safety certificate which will enable me to ensure all the children are kept safe and healthy. I have completed the NSPCC Safeguarding Children and Young People – Someone to Turn To course.
I have completed the CACHE Diploma in Home-based Childcare and achieved an overall A grade and A grades in all units. Additionally I have NVQ 3 in playwork and have attended a wide variety of courses and workshops. I have a level 3 in Signing for babies and young children. I have also completed a makathon course.
My Availability
My hours of service are generally 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m Monday to Wednesday term time however care outside these hours can be arranged by negotiation.

We count ourselves extremely fortunate to have found Ann, she has been the perfect childminder for our daughter and we recommend her highly.
Ann has cared for our daughter since she was 1 year old until she started school.
Our daughter has totally thrived in her care. Not only does Ann provide a homely nurturing environment but she also ensures all the children are well stimulated with lots to do. Our daughter has loved going to Ann's, she always looks forward to seeing her and will miss her when she starts school.
We always feel assured that our daughter will be well taken care of when she is with Ann and we highly rate her child minding service.

Ann has been looking after my 2 and half year old twin boys for the last 5 weeks and they absolutely love going to her, they've settled in so well. Ann is amazing with them. There's so much for them to do and Ann does loads of activities with them. They have so much fun and always very excited to tell me about their day when I pick them up.

Choosing Ann as a childminder is one of the best decisions I have ever made as a parent.
She is warm and loving and totally dedicated to the children and families she works with. She looked after my daughter from 9 months until 2 1/2 years and she developed leaps and bounds in all areas. She loved going to Ann's house and still talks about Ann nearly two years on. The only reason I no longer use Ann as a childminder is because circumstances with my work have changed and we have moved house.
I still visit Ann and attend baby signing group with her where she has had the chance to build a relationship with my son. Although she's not his childminder there is still a bond between them and he gets so excited to see her, she has that way about her that babys and children are drawn to.
Everything appears effortless and natural to Ann, she has an amazing gift when it comes to childminding.
Her paperwork reflects the time and effort she puts in with every child as the observation books and scrap books she makes for each child is more detailed and personal than any I have seen from any other childminder. Our books are treasured by all in our family.
I highly recommend Ann to any family. She has been an asset to our family, a support to us all. She 100% deserves to have 'Chidminder of the Year' award and Outstanding from Ofsted. I could go on and on about the brilliant outings, meals, resources, parties that Ann has and arranges but I would be here forever! Go and visit Ann when considering a childminder, she is truly fantastic!!!
