About Me
Hi, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder in the West Hunsbury area and a mother of 2. I offer lot's of fun and good learning.
I will cover the Early Years development for each pre-school child I care for.
I am a believer of the great outdoors so play outside and outings will play a big part in the care of the children.
I have a library near by, parks, wildlife, woods and I take the children to play groups and soft play areas to meet other children. We enjoy trips such as castles, country parks and bus rides. I plan activities age appropriate which include cooking, crafts, singing and dancing amongst many others.
We have 3 dogs that live with us, but they are kept away from minded children, although very friendly.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 13 years now. I have 2 daughters aged 12 years and 16 years both in full time Education.
I am an established childminder, and currently look after 4 children under the age of 5 (at different times).
Im unable to offer school collections.

Pediatric First Aid trained

My Availability

I will have a space for an under 5 yr old, from september, days available are Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Ideally term time only but holidays can be discussed.
I accept childcare vouchers and can offer funding for 2year olds and 3-4 year olds.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
£5 per hour Term Time and school holiday for under 5's, this includes all snacks and trips.
I accept childcare vouchers and can offer 2-4 year old funding.

Karen has been amazing with my child, my daughter always come home so happy, telling me about her adventures and where Karen has took her. They were always going to castles, parks, Christmas events, library groups and coming home with arts and crafts all the time. Karen gave very honest feedback about my childs day. She helped my child with potty training and it got extremely better. We left Karen around 5 months ago as we moved countys, my daughter is still requesting to see her everyday.
Karen you are greatly missed and thank you for everything you have done and helped my daughter achieve.

Karen is a fantastic childminder, very friendly and welcoming. My son goes 4 days a week and loves it, often not wanting to come home.Karen has been great with Theo’s development, encouraging him to reach all milestones and supporting us 100% in our decision to give up his dummy and then his blanket. Karen takes them on lots of days out to various places which is what I wanted rather then him being at a nursery and not going anywhere. Karen’s home is lovely and she has a nice big garden for the children to play and a nice playroom for them. My daughter also loves going there in the holidays and spending time with Karen and her children.
Karen has also been my nieces childminder, she helped and supported my sister when my niece was diagnosed with Autism and has worked with them to identify and understand her additional needs and requirements. I would definitely definitely recommend Karen.

My daughter has been in Karen's childcare for over a year now and she is simply amazing, I would recommend her to anyone looking. I have recommended her to friends and family too. My daughter was with someone else for 13months and we had such a bad experience I was so worried to try again until I met Karen. My daughter has blossomed in confidence and development much more than we expected and we are so grateful. We are moving a little one has to start in a nursery now before school but what she has learnt and places she's visited has been amazing. Cant recommend enough.

Karen has been childminder to both my children since December 2012, my son charlie was 2years and 6months and my daughter was 10months old. She offered settle in sessions which was very useful as it made me and the children feel very comfortable and happy. They both still go to karen, my son in school holidays and my daughter 3 full days a week.
She is very good and keen with all the work on development stages and your targets for your children and is so supportive in helping you develop there skills you may have concerns with.
She does great lunches and dinners for the children, also when it's nice she takes them for picnics etc!
There's not a day she doesn't have a plan of what she's doing activity wise, and she loves to get out the house and take the children exploring, to play with different children and groups such as, music, library etc.
My children love her and are very happy, which makes me a happy mummy. please do give her a call and see for yourself.
