About Me
I am a childminder in Ashtead registered Good with Ofsted and part of the Surrey Network. I work flexible hours on weekdays only, so please call with details of days and hours needed. I have two children of my own, ages 21 and 17 years; the youngest attends St Andrews. I currently drop off and pick up some times from Barnett Wood and Greville with other children. We go to playgroups, the park, visit the library and the shops and do lots of messy play at home. I have a large garden with a hill, slide and ride-on trucks. I can provide home cooking or supervise packed lunch. I currently look after several children from 9mths to 9yrs and will take children from 4 months. I also have registered assistants who can help if need be. We have 6yr old labrador, Holly, who is very calm and great with the children.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 17 yrs now. I nannied for 2yrs before that. My oldest child is 21 years and I also have a step-son of 31.

Peadiatric 1st aid
Level 2 Food Hygiene
Surrey Network of Childminders
Many Network accredited training courses attended, eg. safe guarding children, Tears, Tantrums and Tussles, Persona dolls...
NVQ Level 3 in Chilcare, Learning and Development
Completed a Quality Improvement Award with Surrey
Allowed to draw down the government Early Years grant for 9mths- 4 yr olds, for parents.
Registered for tax-free childcare.

My little girl started at KC childcare in October 2021 after being recommended by a friend. I will forever be grateful for that recommendation. Matilda only attended 1.5 days a week and I honestly felt like she was there everyday. Katherine shows so much care for the children and Matilda has learnt so much from being there as well as making lots of new friends. I would highly recommend KC and I’m beyond gutted that our time with her has come to an end due to Matilda now starting school. It is clear that Katherine has made a lasting impression, as my daughter will still often ask when she will next be seeing KC and going there. For anyone searching for exceptional childcare in the Ashtead area, I cannot recommend Katherine enough.

We genuinely couldn't have asked for a better childminder. Our daughter started not long after she turned 1, and has very sadly just left now she's 4 and heading off to school soon.
KC went above and beyond to make sure our daughter felt happy, safe and comfortable there, and she settled in so quickly! (Even despite the fact she had struggled to settle at another setting previously)
She's loved her time there, it's like a second home to her. She was always excited to go, see all her friends and do lots of activities. They're always going out on walks, keeping busy and having fun! KC is so friendly and approachable, and she treats the children as her own. I would highly recommend KC to anybody! Your children will be in the best hands!

Thank you so much guys, I'm going to miss her live performances and exuberance and will miss you two as well, it really is a two way relationship and I've had the best parents over the last few years😍
