About Me

I am 48yrs old and married with 3 children, 25 ,23 & 19, we live on the Essex coast after moving out of London in 2015, we have 3 dogs which we love ( Cocker spaniel, golden retriever & chocolate lab ) my husband is director of a Plumbers Merchants in London and also where we live so he commutes into London a few times a week.

My Experience

I have been providing care, guidance and support to families and there babies and children for over 29yrs now, my knowledge, skills and experience is hugely varied but all centred around tailoring and offering bespoke 5* care to the clients i work for.
I have gained my experience through starting to babysit at the age of 15 and continuing from there with attending college for 2yrs to complete my NNEB, then moving on to be a live in / out Nanny, then on to working as a Night Nanny when my older 2 children where young, i then worked as a Midwifery Assistant at a North London hospital for a few years before moving into Maternity Nursing, more recently i have also worked at Colchester general Hospital as a Maternity Care Support Worker which enabled me to gain clinical experience and training, i rotated through all departments of the maternity unit including theatre, i then moved to Ipswich Hospital where i worked as a band 3 Nursery Nurse on acute Paediatric ward again gaining more clinical training.
I work throughout the UK and Overseas, travelling to Riyadh, LA, Switzerland, Austria , i have full experience of working in fully staffed homes and am able to identify when privacy is need and when my presence is required, i am kind compassionate and caring, i am organised and keep a diary for each family i work for documenting feeding patterns, routines, events, anything i feel is relevant and keeps the families informed, i have feeding experience ( Breast & Bottle ) and have access to a qualified IBCLC when i need it who i have worked with clinically, i have full training under the NHS including Basic life support, Manual Handling, Safeguarding ( adults & children ) Health and Safety, Infection Control, i am also trained to remove cannulas, catheters, blood glucose monitoring, clinical observations on patients ( adults & children ) i am able to prioritise and am quite routine based but always allowing for flexibility, i am adaptable which is a must when working for privately in peoples homes and this comes from years of experience, i have undertaken private training and continue to expand of my knowledge in this ever changing environment. I have Nanny Insurance with Morton Michel and an enhanced DBS, i also can offer first time parents an " Essential Baby Items List " which i have put together, this includes items I've used and found to be excellent and also items i see regularly with the families i work with, I've also written some useful reasons why some of the equipment works so well? I also have a contract that i put in place for long term bookings or advanced bookings. I run my clients homes when needed which also includes employing and managing household staff, organising shopping, liaising with other members of the family, travel, children and babies diaries, admin.
