My Summary
About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and have been practising for 28 years. I live in a semi-dethatched house in Marcham with my husband (of 35 years) and daughter Rosie. The house is within close proximity to the A34, and Marcham School.
I also work with two registered assistants- My daughter's Jessica & Rosie. They both have lots of experience in childcare, and are both passionate about Forest Schooling and getting outside. They are both waiting to undertake forest school leader training. Obviously there passion for the out side has really enrichened the quality of experiences and different learning opportunities provided.
In my setting I offer two activity/play rooms, a garden and toys that cover all areas of the EYFS to ensure your child's development can reach its greatest potential. We also back onto a field and a play park that we visit regularly, we are passionate about getting the children outside, and follow a forest school approach, with lots of walks and trips to the woods! We also love to take day trips in the half term to zoo's, museums and other local parks etc.
In the setting we have a few pets; a Yorkshire Terrier called Delboy, he is 5 years old. Delboy is kept in his crate during working hours and has no contact with the children, unless we are going for a walk and it has been approved by parents. Also we have seven cats, they are out most of the time and spend most of their indoor time upstairs.
We also have two Guinuea pigs called Ben & Callum - We encourage the children to help care for the Guniea pigs by preparing food, feeding and handling correctly. We have found that the children really develop a sense of belonging by taking part in taking care of the Guniea pigs. We encourage and teach kindness and respect to Animals in our setting, as we believe this enriches the learning and development of the children by teaching compassion, respect, responsibility and kindness.

My son has been with Sally full time Mon-Friday for two and a half years and he couldn't be happier. Sally's home is always full of love and happiness. She is so experienced, gentle and thoughtful - one of those people who looks after everyone around them. My boy is always super happy to go in the morning, feeling excited about his day ahead and also happy when I pick him up, chattering all the way home about what they had done during the day. Sally taught him everything, from potty training to counting. Jessica and Rosie are also wonderful, and it's just a very happy environment that I would recommend to anyone!

I could not recommend Sally more highly. My daughters (nearly 2 and 4) have been attending for the last year and have been so happy. I am amazed at the imaginative games they tell me they have been playing and Sally has created the perfect environment for them to grow. Sally is kind, caring and so helpful. She has created a lovely setting with a real sense of community between the children. I love hearing about their adventures at the end of the day. Her feedback is great and the children are safe and well cared for. We couldn’t be happier.

Our daughter now (3) has been attending here since she was 6 months old. She loves it, she's always happy to attend. Her development has been outstanding, we have been really impressed. We both work full time, and Sally is so flexible and helpful where we've had issues and needed to extend hours. Friendly, professional, caring everything we ever wanted for our daughter has been delivered at Sally's.

My son goes to Sally full time Monday to Friday half 7 to half 5.
I couldn't ask for anyone better to look after him as he can be really fussy and strange but he hasn't been. He settled in straight away and absolutely loves Sally. She is a lovely lady and very approachable and flexible with childcare or any other requirement you may need.
Great at her job and she just made me feel so relaxed to leave him and not to worry about my child as I knew he was loving life in her care. I am so glad I met Sally as my son wouldn't settle with anyone else as well as he has with her and he loves all the other kids that are there also. I will be starting my other 2 children with her in the up coming months after returning to work for my maternity leave and I couldn't be happier knowing my children are in great care with a lovely lady. I have had loads of childminder and also used nurserys due to the nature of my job and moving around a lot and by far this is the most settled my children have been and I feel I have bond with Sally and if I need any help or advice she is all reluctant to help me.
