About Me
My name is Kara, or kiddiwiggles, I'm 36 years old, married with 3 children, aged 8, 5 and 1. The eldest 2 attend Altham St James Church of England school. I have recently moved from Stockport (to be nearer family), where I have been a childminder for 4 years and was on the local Childminding Network. I have a 7 seater car and all the car seats needed, although occasionally use public transport (most kids love the buses and trains). I have completed all the necessary courses and try and keep up to date with new information and recommendations. Before becoming a childminder I worked with school age mums and their babies. We have a black Lab, Pepa who is 12 and a few goldfish aged 6! I work from 7am till 5pm Mon-Thursday other hours may be negotiated, please discuss with me as I do try to be flexible.
I have a warm, relaxed and welcoming home with a large playroom, and garden. We have lots of fun, there are lots of toys to play with, outdoor toys, we grow plants, explore nature, dance, play music, sing, crafts, visit the library, attend playgroups, visit parks, shopping trips, dressing up, picnics, soft play centres and baking. During school holidays we tend to venture a little further such as to, museums, beaches, National Trust parks etc
I appreciate leaving me with the most precious thing you have is a difficult decision, I can assure you your child will be safe, cared for, loved, played with, entertained and supported in growth and development whilst here. I send a diary home daily to tell you what we’ve been up to and how your child has been through the day along with anything your child has made for you to stick on your fridge!, I add photo’s occasionally to this too so you can see the fun we have (you can also write in this) along with sending arts and crafts home for you to stick on your fridge! Each term I send a journal home with all the achievements and developments your child has attained, this also contains lots of photo's. (I don't want you to miss a thing!)

My Experience
I have been minding since September 2008, i have had an Ofsted inspection where i gained a rating of GOOD.
I am a mother of 3 children aged 8, 5 and 1.
Before becoming a childminder i worked in schools and colleges in support roles.
I regularly attend short courses to ensure i have an up to date knowledge and enhance my skills. I am currently working towards my level 3 in Childcare.
My Qualifications
I have all the required qualification as a childminder and more. I also constantly take part on courses to increase my knowledge and attend local childminder groups to share knowledge.
I am currently working towards my level 3 in Childcare, am part of the being 2 and continuous development in the home.
My Availability
Monday to Friday 7.30am till 5pm time either side of this extra charges apply
