About Me
I am pleased to announce that I have maintained my Outstanding grade after my most recent Ofsted in June 2022.
I am a mother of three children aged 16 years, 11 years and 4 years.
I have been a fully qualified OFSTED registered childminder since September 2014. Prior to this, I was a Nanny for six years to children from the age of 4 years old. I work alongside 2 assistants who do 2 days each and each have lovely bonds with the children.
I offer a warm and friendly, home from home environment which includes a large log cabin play area offering a wide range of educational toys, arts and crafts, baking and messy play. These all support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
I complete termly topics such as space, animals, holidays and buildings to name a few. We regularly visit toddler groups and encourage the interaction between children to develop their social skills. I often take the children on outings to various outdoor settings such as the local farm, park or woods to compliment the topic I am currently focused on. I actively encourage learning through play.
I always work in conjunction with parents and other carers to ensure that each child has the best possible start to their learning journey.
I complete daily diaries for the younger children so that parents are able to see what they have eaten, slept and done throughout the day and I have a private page for parents to join to see photos of the children should you wish for your child's photo to go on it.
We make fresh homemade meals, sugar free and low sugar snacks, sharing the recipes with parents!
I cater for special needs such as allergies and special dietary requirements.
I accept childcare vouchers and childcare funding.
I am fully committed to my role as a childminder and to the care and development of the children in my care.

My Qualifications
I completed a year at College studying Childcare and also completed Cooking and Health and Safety Courses.
ChIP (Childminding Introduction Programme) course completed in January 2014
Safeguarding Course completed in April 2022
Paediatric First Aid Course (Due for renewal in March 2023)

My Availability
I work Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.30pm but this is negotiable.
As each parent has different childcare needs, I feel that availability needs to be discussed on an individual basis. Please contact me for further information.

I am so grateful that we found Emily, she is truly the best childcare provider that we have ever used.
Her home is warm, welcoming, and a haven for children. Her main focus is making sure that the children feel loved and safe at they feel that they are in a home away from home.
She plans wonderful activities and opportunities for learning through play, and these generally are based around a different theme each week that ties in with something going on the world. Whether that be the Jubilee, the World Cup, World book day etc.
The food she serves is delicious and puts me to shame! I'm pretty sure my son prefers eating there than at home!
As a parent, the thing that you are worried about most when you send your child into the care of someone else is that they feel safe, and Emily provides that in abundance. I have never felt more comfortable leaving my pride and joy with someone. She is the best of the best.

As a first time mum returning back to work when my baby was still very young only 7.5 months Emily made the whole thing so much easier! From the first conversation to being showed round her home I was made to feel at ease and that I could not be sending my little girl to a better place! The effort that Emily puts into everything she does is amazing. My little girl adores her and I go to work every day knowing she is well looked after and going to have the best day! Could not recommend her enough.
