About Me
After a bachelor's degree in biomedical science, I trained as a seconday science teacher specialising in physics. I worked as a classroom teacher of science and head of physics for two years before returning to university to complete an MA and a PhD in linguistics.
I have worked as a private tutor alongside my other teaching and training commitments, and I now have 15 years' experience as a private tutor of science, mathematics and English, as well as a range of other subjects including philosophy and religious studies.
I specialise in online teaching methods, including training other teachers in remote teaching and learning techniques. I have a calm and supportive approach to teaching, focusing on building students' confidence through extensive use of past exam questions and open discussion according to students' questions and interests.
