My Summary

My Experience

For work experience I went to City University in Goswell Road. Throughout the work experience we had to do different activities. These included planning our own business and working as a group and pretending we were going to run our own business and discussing issues that may occur. We also had to work independently for a while and produce our own slideshow about an occupation we are interested in. We also had to keep everything organized. I also attend a youth club where I had been given a paid job for 6months. This job was to be a young inspector. As a young inspector we had to all go to different events and places such as leisure centres and other youth clubs to inspect their place and to interview and ask questions to young people who attend there to see whether they enjoy it and feel safe there. We also interviewed police at Tolpuddle Police station about the stop and search policy. We had to be polite and organized as we had to write down everything they replied. This was fun and taught me how to socialize more with people and got my confidence up. In year 8 i did an art project with children with disabilities in a school in EC1. To do this i had to be patient and polite. We had to work in groups with the children and plan what we were going to make and do. After a week we went on a trip to Guildhall Art Gallery and we had to take care of the children and look after them. I have also done a child care NVQ level 2 course and have worked in Places For Children nursery to gain experience as a part of the course. At The nursery I worked with children at the age of 2 and under, which we had to look after, feed and interact with them. I have also worked in a chemist. At the chemist i had to also be polite and also learnt how to use the till and also had stock up and keep everything tidy. I served customers and was trusted at the till. Recently i’ve worked for the summer in a childrens youth club where i had to plan trips and entertain the children with activities they enjoyed such as football, crown making and other art & crafts activiies. Also me and other young volunteers had to take the children out on several trips such as ice-skating and cinemas.
