About Me
I live near Cannon Hill Common on Cannon Hill Lane with my Partner and our Daughter who is 8 and not forgetting our four legged members of the family Bertie and Benji the Cats.
I had been a nanny up until I had our daughter, so the natural progression for me was to become a childminder.
Childcare has always been my passion so being able to continue after having my own child is great.
I am very much into my fitness, being active and heathy living so getting out and about and a daily dose of fresh air is important (weather permitting).
I was originally born in South Africa, then at the age of 10 moved to the U.K. and spent my teenage years in Lincolnshire, before moving to London to pursue a career in Childcare at the age of 19.
We are lucky enough to live with Joseph hood recreation ground backing onto our garden for extra space for outdoor play.
My Experience
I have 20 years experience in childcare as a sole charge nanny looking after children from 3 months to 15 years.
I have always been caring, friendly, energetic, punctual, discreet, organised and a tidy nanny.
I am a very active person, therefore encouraging children to be active and healthy. I enjoyed all aspects of nannying and turned my hand to most tasks asked of me.
I have excellent references.
As I have moved into childminding I have been following the EYFS and Ofsted guide lines.
Having been childminding for just over 7 years, I have had my first Ofsted inspection and was happy to be graded GOOD.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 2 in childcare.
Merton Early Years & Childcare I C P course
MNT working with babies.
Paediatric First aid.
DBS checked
CPD training in FMG
College of Policing- General Awareness
My Availability
I am available for full day childcare for babies and toddlers.
My opening hours are 8am-5pm

Lauren has been looking after our almost 2yo boy since he was 14 months. He settled in quickly and loves the mix of lots of active play outside and different indoor play/crafts. We get daily updates and photos via WhatsApp. Lauren is very reliable and communicates well with both myself & my husband. We provide meals and find our boy will eat more different food for Lauren than at home.
