My Experience
Childcare funded support spaces available. Please message for details
Funding is offered term time only (38 weeks of the year) for 9 months until their 3rd birthday (When your child turns 3 years old, they are usually ready to transition to a nursery setting with children of similar ages where they can claim their funded hours for the following term)
I provide a Home from Home Care service, with years of experience caring for children of all ages, including my own. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your child in someone else’s care, so I focus on making the transition as smooth as possible for both the child and their parents or carers.
When your child joins my setting, I take the time to learn about their likes, dislikes, routines, and more. This helps me create a tailored plan for their needs each week. I follow the EYFS curriculum, which aligns with what schools use up until the end of reception.
To offer reassurance, I’m happy to send parents updates throughout the day via text and welcome phone calls whenever needed.
My setting provides a wide range of engaging activities to keep children entertained and stimulated, such as:
Visits to parks, nature trails, and feeding the ducks.
Creative crafts like playdoh, painting, gluing, and sticking.
Role-play, small world play, puzzles, board games, singing, reading, and mark-making.
Outings to the library, toddler groups, and soft play.
Garden play with water tables, a sandpit, tents, tunnels, trampolines, bikes, scooters, slides, and rockers.
We attend daily outings to toddler groups and soft play, which are an essential part of our program. To maintain these enriching experiences, I ask for a small contribution toward the costs. If you’d prefer not to participate, we can discuss whether my setting is the right fit for your child.
I also meet regularly with other childminders, creating opportunities for the children to form friendships with a larger group through playdates and outings. This helps them build relationships both inside and outside my care.
I prioritize strong communication with parents, sharing detailed updates about your child’s day and encouraging messages from you throughout the day so that we can work together to support your child.

My boy (just turned 1) really enjoyed his time with Emma. She had lots of activities to keep him busy when they’re home like painting and play with lots of toys. She also take him out to baby group/park. Can totally see that he likes her when I drop him off. She also follow exact dietary requirement for my boy as he has milk protein allergy. Have to add that her house is squeaky clean. I totally recommend Emma as trustworthy and caring childminder.

have been using emma as a childminder since Dec 2012 for my 4yr old and 7 month old and i got to say she is brilliant. Her home is warm and welcoming with many things to keep the children entertained and also takes them to a toddler group so they get to go out and about. emma has been very flexible with my needs and requirements and my children just love her. my 7 month old daughter has now settled and my 4 year old son gets excited when i tell him we are going to emmas. Iv used nurseries in the past but have found this to be much more better and i would recommend her to anyone!
