My Experience

I am a caring, supportive, flexible and patient qualified nanny who loves and enjoys the company of children with over 15 years of experience in Early Years Childcare.
My former positions of Nursery Nurse, Deputy Nursery Manager, Acting Manager, Nanny to two little girls of 2 Years and 4 Years, Nanny to a girl from 1 year until she was 5 year and her brother from birth, Nanny for 2 boys aged 3 and 4 years until they were 7 and 8 years old, have allowed me to gain excellent experience in the field of childcare and enabled me to develop my skills as a childcare provider.
Working closely with parents allows me to care for their children in a way parents see as the best, so I follow explicitly the parents directions regarding their children, from the length and time for naps, dietary requirements and their approach to discipline. I therefore respect the parent’s values and child rearing beliefs and follow exactly instructions set.
As a committed Nanny I see myself as a good role model, providing good manners and supporting the parents, being able to find solutions to any problems which may occur during the day.
My role as a nanny allows me to help to provide a loving, fun and educational environment for the children in my care through a wide variety of planned activities, ranging from arts and craft activities, simple pre-school reading, writing, and numeracy to observing mini beasts and growing seeds e.g. sunflowers and so take the initiative in contributing to the children’s development.
I view myself as a professional carer of children and take pride in my role. I am reliable, punctual and communicate well with parents through whatever means they require. In a previous post this involved verbal, written and photographic communication. I provided a written diary on a daily basis.
In my last position I was a nanny for a lovely family. I took care of two children aged 4 and 3 at the start of my position. I was with the family for 3 years before going on Maternity Leave to have my first child. I then decided not to return to work after my Maternity Leave as I felt spending quality time with my own child was very important.
My strengths are my caring nature, reliability, punctuality, flexibility, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both parents and children and the ability to multi task.
