My Summary
About Me
(Please don't be put off by my postcode ,all work is primarily London based)
Hello there :)
My name is Alexa and here's all about me...
- I'm a caring, patient, responsible and warm natured person with a sense of humor
- I'm very creative, enjoy planning and organizing stimulating activities
- I have the ability to communicate well with children of all ages, as well as parents
- I am able to stay calm under pressure and cope with unexpected situations
- I'm extremely reliable, punctual and enjoy responsibility
- I have special needs, allergy and reflux experience
During my time at secondary school I began to develop the passion for childcare as I had several young cousins during this time. I very much enjoyed being hands on helping my aunts and uncles during the weekends and during my school holidays. So when we had work experience in year 10, I chose a day nursery which I thoroughly enjoyed and this sealed my decision to study Childcare at college.
Whilst at college we discussed different careers options that our qualification could lead to and after the experience I had with being hands on in a home with my family I knew that nannying was what I would like to do. We were advised that for a position like this experience would be key, so I went into a nursery to gain hands on knowledge of many ages. I was able to interact closely with the children, where I would then learn their individual needs and personalities. Once I felt confident enough that I could be a sole care nanny I left the nursery and fulfilled this with a maternity cover position.
After having left this position an opportunity to do some travelling arose which I decided to do alongside temping for a childcare agency. This enabled me to take part in both my passion and interests.
