Incredible child minder!

Heike was our childminder for our daughter, Ellie, for 4 years and we cannot say how much we valued her. Firstly, her setting is fantastic and Ellie really felt it was home from home. Heike was wonderful for taking the kids out most days on day trips, adventures, and giving them invaluable experiences. I think this hugely contributed to Ellie's development in confidence and trying new things. We were so pleased with Ellies development academically as well, and that's because Heike was always teaching them and giving fun but valuable lessons (again, Ellie has surpassed reception expectatiins because she was well prepared and knowledgeable). I highly recommend Heike as a childminder, and although it's been a whole year since Ellie was in her care, she still asks after Heike and talks about her time with her and her friends there. Heike was a member of our family and we hope every child could be so lucky as ours.

The most wonderful childminder

Heike is simply the best childminder we could possibly have wished for for our son James. He was with her 3 years and gained so much from his time in her setting.

Heike puts the children’s needs first and every day is different. The adventures they go on are incredible from the aquarium, museum, aerospace, soft play, theatre trips, forest school. James loved his time with Heike & the other children. The setting is like another family for the children lucky enough to go there.

It is nothing like a sterile nursery setting. Heikes home and garden are all set up with amazing games and activities for the children. They did amazing crafting and made beautiful things to bring home.

Heike always has time to talk with parents about any concerns and is super efficient with communication. She has many years experience and knows exactly what the children need. I felt very confident to leave my son in her expert care.

I’m his final year before school James learnt so much with Heike, supporting him with his writing and also with his independence to prepare for school.

Thank you Heike for all you have done to support our family and James would not be the happy confident boy he is without you.

I could not recommend Heike highly enough, she is truly amazing.

Gold Standard for childminding

Having placed our child with the usual generic childcare facilities I cant tell you how lucky we were to have found Heike. Suddenly instead of just being another child in a large crowd, our sons need’s and development became front and centre.

It’s worth noting that our child first started with Heike during the pandemic where there were very strict measures in place, but she was still able to ensure the children had full days of fun, learning and exploration, whilst adhering to all government guidelines and safety measures.

Heike's house & garden is literally a dream play centre with everything a child could ever want, not that they spend much time indoors (only when its really raining) as each day has been planned out with key activities and learning opportunities. Whether it’s the museum, zoo, bird sanctuary, soft play, or water park just to name a few. This is every single day. The children just have the best time ever.

There is also a strong focus on learning and development from dressing themselves, to problem solving and beginning to read/write. They are also encouraged to eat healthily and to start valuing their own health.

Every evening you get a text with a brief rundown of what your child did that day along with a number of photos so you always feel comfortable knowing what they have been up to, and its really nice to actually see them in action each day.

As there are only ever a few children at a time, they also build strong bonds with each other and with Heike. It has been a year and we are all still in touch.

There are certainly good childminders out there, but Heike is the gold standard. If you are lucky enough to get a space with her, then you have hit the jackpot, and you can relax about your child’s welfare and development, well until school starts….

Excellent for kids who enjoy being outdoors

My son was with Heike for only 9 weeks over the summer and in that time Heike took him to the aquarium, wildplace, the aviation museum, Slimbridge and many other parks and day trips. Heike is an excellent option if your child enjoys being outdoors!

Best childminder!!

Heike cared for both my babies and has been in our lives since 2014!
She cared for my daughter Isla from 9 months old until she started school.
Following this we had a son in 2017 and she cared for him until he recently started school too!

Her home set up is phenomenal. She goes above and beyond for the kids to make every day special.
The effort Heike puts into every task, craft, day out, playdate - just exceptional!
My kids both miss her terribly. I'll forever be so grateful for everything Heike has done for our family. She made it so easy for a nervous mum going back to work to feel comfortable with someone else taking care of my kids. She cares so very much about the well being of every child she takes care of.
She is one in a million and I simply cannot recommend her enough.

The best in the business

From the moment we met Heike we knew our 14month old daughter would love and flourish being in her care.
My daughter started with Heike in July 2019 3days per week and loved every minute in her company.
Firstly her home space for the children and garden area is out of this world, so spacious and fun!

Heike takes the children out to adventure parks, play centres and zoos to name a few. My daughter was always out exploring new things every day with Heike which is it what makes Heike stand out from the rest in my opinion. My daughter learned so much in the year she spent in her childcare.

She is so flexible and helped us out a lot in short notice and adapted to any changes we needed due to mine and my partners jobs. She is so warming and loving towards all the children she cares for and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to care for my child.

She is great at communicating every day your child is in her care and shares photos of what your child has been doing.

Heike is one of the most wonderful people you will ever meet and her facility and care is amazing.

Excellent childminder

My daughter has been going to Heike every Monday for this academic year and has really enjoyed it and grown significantly in confidence during her time there. Heike is very caring, personable and makes sure all the children in her care feel really comfortable. She constantly plays games such as peek a boo to make them smile! They always go out in the mornings; to the zoo, to the wild place; to a park; to a local baby group and sometimes for the whole day, which is wonderful. Her setting is also beautiful with a lovely large area for the children to play as well as a large garden. Heike generally has 2-4 children on any given day so all the children get plenty of individual attention, which is another advantage. I would highly recommend her as a childminder.

Great childcare

Our son Gabriele attended Heike for 3 years. He had always great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Heike provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise and crafts of any kind. She offers a positive and happy environment helping children to develop independence, confidence and good discipline.
We were satisfied with the level of care Gabriele received and we would absolutely recommend Heike as a great and reliable childminder.
