About Me
My name is Karen, I have been an Ofsted childminder for 30 years. I am married to Mark and have 3 grown up children, we have 2 dogs Cassie and Tilly, who are both very child fiendly. Minded children have accsess to the dining room, with dining table, and internet enabled laptop and games.A kitchen for children to help with cooking and preparing snacks, drinks and meals (fully supervised). A purpose built conservatory, with a wide range of toys, games,and other resources for babies toddlers and children. Their is also a child size table and chairs for arts and craft activities, a child friendly enclosed garden opens up from the conservatory, with playhouse and grassed area with slide sandpit watertable and mud kitchen. each child has a learning journal and daily diary. My aim is to help children to enjoy learning, and to achieve as much as they can whilst having fun on the way.
I am also a member of the professional Association for childcare and Early Years (PACEY) and a member of Lancashire early years network, where I can attend training to help develop and enhance my skills to meet the needs of the children I care for .
We attend the local toddler group twice a week so that the children can socialise in a larger group .. we also go to the library to choose books and attend the story and rhyme group, we also have lots of fun at the local park and enjoy going to visit the animals at the allotments :)

My daughter loves Karen and really enjoyed going, my daughter was with Karen from being 6months old, this was a big deal for us as parents, however we felt totally reassured that our daughter was in the best hands and u can guarantee your child would be to!
I would highly recommend Karen, very nutruing, kind and patient. My daughter thrived and just loved going. It felt home from home. My daughter is 8 now and will be going in the summer break.

Karen has cared for both of my children and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She creates a comfortable, fun, home from home for the children and mine have both loved their time with her. They enjoy a wide variety of activities which aid their development, and Karen ensures they are fully prepared for the transition to school. If you are looking for a safe, fun and nurturing environment for your child then look no further!

Both my children were with Karen from the age of 6 months until school age and then also continued with Karen before and after school for several years. They absolutely loved their time with Karen, a real home from home. Karen provides a loving, caring setting with lots of fun and varied activities for the children. I loved looking through their journals and diaries to see what they had been up to! I would highly recommend Karen for all your childminder needs and children will be very lucky to have her care for them and nurture them.

Karen has cared for both my children from ages 9 months until school age. They both flourished with Karen and built a strong bond the moment they met her! Karen is experienced, caring and has a natural aptitude with children in her care. Now at school, both our children still have fond memories of their time with Karen and they will talk about things they did together and life long friends they made with the other children. I would highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for quality, consistent child care. You will not regret it!
