About Me
Hi my name is Gemma, I live with my husband and two daughters 12 years and 7 year old. I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder, Rated Good in my last Ofsted inspection March 2024. I have a level 3 childcare qualification and have had a lot of experience working in nurseries and with young people with learning difficulties as a youth worker.
I am based on the south side of the river
My setting is home from home, the children have access throughout the ground floor with a variety of toys to play with, free access to the spacious garden and play equipment. All meals are all home cooked and included in the daily rate.
In my childminding setting we do various activities in my home and in the outside environment. These include messy play, crafts, cooking, forest school, going to local play groups, trips out and to local parks. Everything is based on what the children are interested in and plan activities based on these interests, with flexible topics.
I offer all funding 9 months, 2-3 year olds and 3-4 year olds.
My Experience
I have 24 years childcare experience working with children from birth to 25 years old. I've worked in a variety of settings, schools, nurseries, mothers help and as a youth worker..I am very familiar with the EYFS framework. My learning and development is always ongoing.
