My name is Sacha

registered since 1999
I was graded OUTSTANDING in 2016 and again in June 2022
I have up to date TRAINING within the EYFS
and trained with the FOREST CARE ASSOCIATION
Level 3 in C care
I am reliable honest , and down to earth
I am a experienced driver with car
I have 2 super cool grown children
son 32 who has flown the nest and daughter 26
And a wee grandson recently born
I live in a 70s built quirky modern town house in gospel oak NW5
a stones throw away from beautiful Hampstead health
walking distance to the royal free hospital , gospel oak / Hampstead over head stations and bus links
I operate a homely setting with a private play area and garden for the children’s use
I plan my days around the children’s development needs and ages
we are out and about daily
Come rain or shine
Visiting the 10 o’clock and 1 o’clock club on the health and local play and stays , nature reserves ,city farm outings - exploring nature on the health
we visit the local city farm to see the animals and do Allotment exploring activities along with London zoo and local church play groups
We spend time at home doing various fun activities- arts and crafts lots of mat time learning- rhythm time , music movement - baby yoga
along with child lead free play bringing to the setting a feel of basic Montessori and outside activities basic forest school play development

I feel it’s important to support not only the children in the setting but also the parents with working closely in partnership
Keeping up to date daily with the child’s routine activities achievements and progress
I observe development level checks daily on the children and log their special achievements , along with art scrap books knowing each child’s level of development as they grow and progress

My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 34 years and have experience with children from birth to adulthood .
I started out as a teenager babysitting, mothers helps ,nanny work and work experience in a nursery for a period of time
I worked in the south of France for 2 months over a summer period .
I was working with children for 5 yrs before my son jack was born
when jack was 1 yr I went back into nannying part time , 6 yrs later my daughter meg came along .thats when I decided to become registered it was ideal and fitted in well with my lifestyle , it allowed me to still work with children have my independence a business and be home with my children I have been registered ever since :-)

Our son (now 2) has been with Sacha for nearly a year and a half and we’ve been beyond happy. Sacha is passionate about what she does and truly loves the children. She takes them out for fun activities (the farm, play groups, rhyme time, the park, the clock club, even the zoo!) every day and supports them both emotionally and in their cognitive and physical development. Our son LOVES Sacha and is always saying her name, even when he’s not with her. We're devastated to be moving and leaving her setting. Highly recommend!

Both my kids have now spent their early years with Sacha and I feel so lucky! Sacha is incredibly dedicated and takes pride doing the right thing by the kids in her care. She is fully focused on the kids at all times (not looking at a phone like some childminders I'm afraid to say!)
She has supported us as parents as well as our kids development.
Sacha has brought so much fun to our kids lives; as well as setting them up for forest school and now school. I miss her in our daily lives now!

My daughter went to Sasha when she was 9 months to just over 2yrs old and I couldn’t have coped without her! I was nervous and anxious and she immediately put us at ease with her nurturing, kind and professional way of working. My daughter has thrived and grown in her care as she was excellently cared for

Our little boy started with Sacha when he was 16 months, until 3yrs. She helped us to feel at ease about leaving him. He settled in straight away, we think due to Sacha taking the time to understand us and our sons needs before he started. My son has thrived since being with Sacha, from the variety of activities and experiences she plans. Including local stay and plays, the park for forest play, outings to the city farm and the zoo, trips to the library, the market and trips on the train! Helping him have a good understanding of the world around him. There's just no time to get bored!
Sacha provides such a friendly and caring setting, with lots of educational activities and age appropriate activities/toys.
We were lucky to find Sacha when we did. Aside from childcare, she has advised us on other issues as well like sleep, and behavioural matters.
Our son has loved being "at Sacha house" and will miss her so much.

My daughter started with Sacha when she was 10 months old. I was initially nervous to leave her but Sacha in incredibly friendly and my daughter loves her from the start. Sacha took the settling period very seriously and helped my daughter (and I!) adjust to being left full time; starting with us hanging out together at her setting. Sacha is professional and offers great advice as my daughter has progressed through different phases (help with weaning, sleep etc). My daughter loves seeing Sacha and her friends everyday and I can see huge growth in her development since being with Sacha. I know she is not only cared for with her physical needs, but hugely supported in her emotional needs aswell. I couldn’t be more pleased to have found Sacha :)

Our son went to Sacha when he was 10 month and now, almost 3, still spends half the week with her (now in nursery the other half - we couldn't bear to lose her! She is incredibly loving and dedicated to the development of children she looks after. But even more than that she has been great to work with as a first time parent and supported us as a whole family with a range of issues - notably sleep and other behavioural things that inevitably crop up with toddlers! She gives the children she looks up to a real variety of experiences (they won't get bored) from zoo and museum trips to lots of arty/creative stuff and plenty of fresh air and running around Hampstead Heath. She's a really wonderful and talented person (could have done so many things - teaching, counselling) and quite exceptional. It's a lucky family that gets a place with her.

Sacha is the most wonderful childminder and looked after our son for two years from when my son turned 1 to 3. To say that he adored her would be an understatement and from day one we had the utmost confidence that our son was in the best possible care and was having wonderful fun every day. He was always pretty sociable but I think his social skills, language development and behaviour were all utterly enhanced by being looked after by Sacha. We loved her approach and the fact that most time was always spent outside whenever possible .. and she always kept us up to date, and was great at communication. We also really appreciated the relationship that we had as parents with her - how we could work together and always discussed any challenges or development questions in a coordinated way. We cannot recommend her highly enough and she’s set a very high standard for us! Gutted that she can’t look after our younger daughter as we have moved to the West Country!

Sacha has been looking after our son Leo for over 5 months since I returned to work.
Sacha and Leo formed a strong bond quickly and I have always felt like he was well cared for in a very loving way.
Leo is always excited and very happy to go to Sacha in the mornings which is very reassuring.
I get regular updates throughout the day with lots of photos which really perk up my day.
Sacha has loads of toys and activities to play with at her home but they regularly spend a lot of time outside on the Heath, going to science tots, one o’clock club and the various play parks. They also have had days out to London zoo and Kentish Town city farm. Sacha keeps me updated on any developments Leo has made during the day and what he was interested in and how well he’s been eating.
I find it really helpful discussing any issues Leo is having with napping or teething with Sacha and it’s great to have that extra support as a first time mum.
I would highly recommend Sacha as a childminder, she is also great fun and a lovely person to have looking after your child.

Sacha is adored not just by my daughter, but the whole family. She has looked after my daughter Stevie since she was a baby, providing outstanding care to her and support for me. Having Sacha look after Stevie full time meant I was able to work knowing she was in excellent hands. Sacha pays great attention to your child’s development and has a wealth of knowledge and experience that she is always willing to share with parents. She is open hearted, reliable, diligent and great fun to be around. She takes enormous pride in the work she does and you genuinely feel how important the care of your child is to her. It’s a partnership. That’s incredibly important to me as it creates a real connection between home and childcare as well as a truly solid foundation for your child’s early years. When Stevie moved onto Reception Sacha gave us 2 beautiful scrapbooks that she’d created over 4 years. They are a treasured possession and show how much thought, care and attention Sacha puts into every child she looks after. My daughter is now in Year 6 but the relationship she has with Sacha is so special to her that they still hang out together one day every week after school. I can honestly say that she’s one of the most important people in Stevie’s life and we feel incredibly lucky to have her in ours. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

Wow how the years have flown by , how lucky I am to still be in her life and able to watch her grow and flourish into the kind hearted beautiful young lady she is
