About Me
I'm a Montessori teacher with 25 years experience working with children, I also have a foundation degree in Early years.
I’m hard working, loving and patient, I encourage good manners, and work with both parents and children to create a fun and safe environment for the children to flourish in.
I am a cordon Bleu cook and I enjoy cooking and can cook healthy meals that meet any dietry requirements
I always involve the children in planing fun and educational where appropriate, such as music classes, trips to museums the wetlands and days out in the park. I’m always keen to organise play dates as I believe developing a child’s social skills is an essential part of their development.
I’m happy to muck in when needed, Including children’s laundry, keeping the children’s areas clean and tidy etc. I can do children’s ironing if needed although I have to admit it’s not my greatest skill.
I hold a full uk driving license (Manual car) and I own my own car.
I am a single mum to a 2 1/2 year old little boy, he has been coming to work with me since he was 10 months old this has been hugely beneficial for both the children I nanny for and for him.
My Experience
I have 25 years experience working with children from newborn to 11 years old. I worked for 10 years as a teacher an have been nannying for the past 13 years.
As a qualified teacher I am able to help with homework and give support with reading etc.

Lydia worked for us for several years when our boys were younger when we needed full time childcare.
She is very reliable, trustworthy and caring and our children loved their time with her. She cooked for them, organised activities and playdates, did the nursery runs and took them on outings. We would highly recommend her as a dedicated and caring nanny.
