Hi,
I hope you’re doing well! I’m currently seeking part-time work in childcare in the Leeds 16 area. My passion for childcare began in my teenage years when I assisted my mum in Sunday school, caring for children ages 2-5. This experience reaffirmed my belief that childcare is where I truly belong. I thrive on helping children learn through play, and I aim to be seen as a trusted friend or "Auntie" to them.
I have amazing skills, and it is dyslexic; it helps me to get down to children's levels and understand them. Many other parents ask me how I get them to do it. I have also worked with children with autism and Angelman syndrome as a SEN in the nursery and as a supervisor during lunchtimes.
Outside of work, I’m an active person who enjoys swimming, going to the gym, reading, socializing with friends, and dining out. I’m also a proud cat owner and have experience caring for dogs and their puppies, having helped out friends in that area. Volunteer in nursing home enoughing elderly adults knit and natter once a month. I also take elderly lady to do her weekly shopping.

My Experience
I have been working in childcare for 25 years in various settings, including roles as a nanny and dinner lady, and positions in nurseries, preschools, and after-school clubs. I also have experience caring for children with special needs. Specifically, I worked as a nanny for 7 years and as a dinner lady for 2 years, during which I looked after three children requiring additional support. I spent 8 years in preschool and worked in after-school clubs for 14 years. Additionally, I provided care for my parents. Currently, during the school holidays, I work as an assistant at Jungle Kids Play Scheme and have previous experience as a duty manager. While I have experience managing staff, my preference is to work directly with children.
