My Experience
Nanny
Surrey
February 2023 – July 2024
When the role started the children were 11 months old & 3. This sole charge role was for 2 children we had a community of children and nannies around us so spent our time outside on playdates, at playgroups & on day trips with them. As well as group activities we spent time the 3 of us at home doing puzzles, cooking and arts & crafts. My other tasks for the family were the laundry and errands.

November 2022 – Current
Caring for two children aged 8 & 10. During term time I ensure that the children are taken to school on time, then run errands for them throughout the day as well as laundry, cooking nutritional meals and I also walk the family dog. In the school holidays I am there to care for the children throughout the day, completing the above tasks as well as providing the children with fun days out such as swimming, trampolining, or playdates. Then also helping with school projects and homework.

September 2019 – July 2024
Working with two children aged 2 & 4 when the role started, my role was to ensure the children were happy and well cared for. Due to the pandemic, we spent time at home, our time was spent learning to cook, craft, sew, do science experiments, and home schooling too. I also planned fun days with them in the local area and in London where they were happy to explore and learn. Along with this we also attended swim classes, music classes & local groups or playdates. It is also my duty to ensure the upkeep of their laundry, uniform labelling, and cooking for the family too, along with doctor, dentist and other appointments needed.

April 2019 – January 2023
Working for two boys aged 18 months & new born when the role started. Starting with one child and transitioning into two in December 2019. My role was to give the boys happy fun filled days with trips to farms, playgrounds, libraries, classes, and playdates. We also spent time home doing crafts, water play, and cooking too. The older boy has nut & egg allergies, my first experience with allergies which means I was able to attend his testing appointments multiple times along with ensuring he lived in a safe environment, with home cooked meals and extra precautions when we took trips out. The pandemic has meant we had all worked closely together to ensure we were all healthy and happy within the guidelines, meaning I took a period away from the family to keep us all safe. In this time, I did multiple weekly online learning sessions with the oldest to keep our relationship strong and to help aid him for his transition back into school.
Nanny
London
June 2017 – September 2019
I was a sole charge nanny in a share to four children aged 1,2,5 and 5 when the role started. The role adapted and changed over the course of the two years as the children grew and went to school. Organisation was key to this role with 3 of children at different schools, along with different extra-curricular activities. I would participate in swim lessons, playgroups, playdates and trips into the city to museums/events, also organising parties for the children too. Keeping a varied two-week meal rota for them all was essential for maintaining healthy diets and keeping track of new foods. This role also included doctor, dentists & hospital appointments along with general errands such as shoe fittings & haircuts.

September 2016 – June 2017
Sole charge for two girls aged 2 & 5 when the role started. My daily duties were to take care of the girls from mid-day until late evening; this included school pickups, after school activities, homework, cooking multiple meals and snacks as well as bath and the start of bedtime. I also do duties of laundry, tiding and cleaning up after the girls. During school holidays I prepared lots of activities and days out with other children too such as swimming, playgrounds, museums, arts & crafts and other seasonal activities in the city such as fayres and events.

December 2011 – June 2013
I was a nanny for a family with two active boys aged 3 and 5 when the role started. I lived with the family, so they treated me as a co-parent, employee and on some occasions, I was a proxy parent. I was there to take care of the boys well being and be there for them in many ways from fun activities to medical needs. An average day would consist of morning breakfast and dressing the school runs, extra-curricular activities, cooking and then bath and bed time routines. When proxy parenting, I always managed very well in keeping the same routine to ensure the safety and happiness of the boys.
