About Me
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2007 providing a safe and caring home from home environment. My mother Linda has worked with me since she retired from the police force and is registered with Ofsted as my childminder's assistant. My partner Mark is a police officer and I have two sons, Blake aged 17 who attends Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School and Kieron aged 23 who has graduated from The Kent Business School at The University of Kent. I provide all children with breakfast, lunch and tea, all snacks and drinks are also included at no extra cost. If your child is with me after 5pm I will work with them to complete their homework and reading given by the school. With pre school children I continue the work they have participated in that day to help further their understanding. During the holidays we have various days out in the local community, the destination is always number dependent, however a few examples are as follows: Shorne Country Park, The Fun Drum, Holcombe Hockey Club. I am located a 1 minute walk away from the London coach pick up point and 10 minutes walk from Strood station. A regular bus service operates along my road and I have two parking spaces available on my driveway should you wish to leave your car during the day. I offer drop offs and pick ups from Hilltop Primary School and drop offs to English Martyrs School. I can cover shift patterns, unsociable hours, early starts and late finishes, school holidays and term time.
My Experience
I am a member of Childcare.co.uk, The National Childminding Association (NCMA) and have childcare experience from 2007 with children aged from 3 months to 16 years.
Having had a childminder myself when my first child was born, I am mindful of how stressful choosing childcare can be and I also understand shift patterns, rotas and the worry of travel delays having worked in London and my partner working different days and times. I hope to be able to put you at ease by answering any questions you may have, ensuring you, that your child or children will be cared for as if they were my own.
