About Me

Hi, I am a very experienced childminder of 16 years standing .Registered by Ofsted.I provide a warm caring environment for the children in my care.My home is spacious and welcoming with a large garden and outdoor play area.The children have access to a large range of high quality resources and I provide activities ranging from baking, craft,science and outdoor play,working within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.At my last inspection, rated overall good, Ofsted said"Dedicated levels of support and skilled care are provided to enhance children's learning and play."I am a member of The Valley Accredited Childminding Network which requires me to undertake and update training on a regular basis ,and undergo six weekly inspections to ensure a high standard of care is maintained.I am also a Lancashire support childminder and in this role I act as a mentor to mew childminders in their first year of business.I have attended courses on the healthy schools initiative and provide nutritious home cooked meals and home made bread .Ofsted "children are well nourished .They benefit from a home made ,organic wholesome and nutritionally balanced diet."We grow some of our own vegetables and the children help to cook with them.I attend many local toddler groups and take the children on outings to parks ,music and movement group,soft play areas and outings further afield such as the seaside ,museums and farms .I am dedicated to the care of the children and their happiness and well being is paramount.I will gladly provide references and a copy of my inspection report on request.
