My Summary
About Me
Hello there, I believe myself to be fun, reliable, hardworking, caring and friendly. I love working and being around children, I come from a family whereby throughout my life I have had babies and young children around me, so looking after children comes naturally to me. I think it is very important for children to grow up in a stimulating environment that will help them to learn and reach their full potential.
My Experience
I have grown up with my 2 younger sisters, both of which have different disabilities so that has helped me to become a patient and understanding person. My mum used to be an Ofsted Registered Childminder, so when I had finished work for the day I would come home to a house full of children, giving me experience of all ages. I have volunteered in a nursery setting in Epsom in order to gain some experience and from there I moved on to work in a nursery in Ashtead where within a few months I was made the Trainee Deputy Manager. I carried out the tasks of a deputy manager. I was the Trainnee Deputy Manager there for just over a year. I undertook various courses within that year, as I was keen to learn as much as I could (listed below).
I then moved on to my first nanny role for a family with 5 month old twins and their 3 year old brother. I worked with this family for around 3 years and had sole charge.
I worked with a family of 4 children in Chichester helping the mum out with the housework and care of the children. The ages ranged from 2 years-9 years. I worked with this lovely family for around 2 years.
My current job role is coming to an end at the end of march 2024. Currently caring for a 5 year old child. I have worked in this position for nearly 2 years.
I am happy to work as the sole charge carer or within a shared care role as I have experience with both.
I am looking to gain more experience with babies and newborns moving forward but am open to helping other families temporarily if I am able to do so.
