I have a space available from Thursday and Friday term time only or all yr round 2024.
I have 2 space available from Jan 2025. 1 is monday to friday and
1 space wednesday to friday.

I have been an ofsted registered childminder since 4/11/ 2013 naming my business Sandys childminding. I am in Farnham by weydon School. I live with my partner Steve, daughter born 2008, son born Jan 2015, daughter born 2018, son born 2024 3 cats and 1 rabbit.
I could not imagine doing any other job.I knew what I wanted to do before I left school and therefore did 3 years at college in childcare. I have worked with children ever since.
I have worked in nurseries until I had my daughter and so turned to being a nanny and a separate job of being mothers helper where I was able to take my daughter with me.
I then decided it was time to be a childminder where I provide a clean, healthy and secure home from home environment. This is also what I wanted to do whilst growing up and enjoy every moment. As much as I help the children learn and develop its fun for them to also teach me a few things to. I love to work with other parents, to help their children develop, watch their children achieve and grow with confidence.
My first inspection from ofsted was in 2015 and i recieved a good.
My second inspection this year 2019 receiving good again
I am able to except childcare vouchers and feet funding. I am also signed up for tax free childcare.
Once we have done the school run to high fields school depending on the weather we go to playgroups, walks to the park, woods, feed the ducks etc.

Adult and child led activities, free play and messy activities are done daily to help and encourage children's learning and development which also meets the eyfs.
My Experience
Whilst at college I did nursery placements from birth to 8 years,
I then worked in a nursery for a couple of years and became pregnant. Once my daughter was born and 9 months old we began to nanny for a family with a little girl the same age as my daughter where we went out to playgroups, parks and got messy the parents would come in and join in with the activity.
The family then had another baby and the mother wanted to stay at home. I then became a mothers helper again with my daughter. Again another little girl very similar in age to my daughter and they had a baby boy so I would sometimes have both children to give the parent a rest or we would go out all together to the park and such likes.

My Qualifications
I finished school and went strait to college in Farnham where I completed my:
level 2 certificate in childcare and then did my
level 3 diploma in childcare,
up to date crb,
first aid,
child protection safeguarding,
public liability insurance and have a
full clean driving licence.
Food and hygiene certificate
Child behaviour management course
Updated re fresher course on safeguarding

Babysitting in the evenings Monday to Friday £10 an hour . Midnight onwards is £12 an hour

Mason has now been with Sandy for just over a month and he absolutely adores her. Sandy is very well educated in every aspect and this really shines through as I have seen a massive difference in the things Mason has learnt. Sandy is always out and about doing different activities with the children and it makes my day when Sandy sends pictures of Mason doing all these different things. Sandy’s family are also lovely and have taken to Mason very well and treat him like family. I honestly couldn’t recommend Sandy enough and I’m so glad I found her when I did. She runs her business very professionally and I love reading the little diary that Sandy sends home every day of what has happened throughout the day.
Honestly Sandy is a god send

My husband and I have had Sandy babysitting for us during the evening a number of times now and have found her to be extremely personable, pleasant and professional.
She has been very patient and kind with both my 8 year old daughter (who will occasionally push boundaries) and my (slightly moody) 13 year old son.
Sandy is also super punctual and easy going. Additionally we found her hourly rate is exceptionally good, especially considering her excellent qualifications/experience.
Its great to know we can relax on an evening out knowing our kids are in safe competent hands. We are really happy to have found her here on the Childcare website. I would not hesitate to recommend her services,

Sandy has been looking after my little boy for nearly 6 months and I couldn't recommend her enough. She is so professional and takes a huge amount of care in the way she looks after the children and runs her business.
She takes great interest in the way your child develops and provides a wonderful development book with loads of pictures, as well as a daily journal so you keep completely up to date with their progress and how they spend their days. She is really creative and is always doing things with the children - both when they're at home (such as messy play or baking) or taking them to playgroups, music groups or outings to nearby parks. He has such a wonderful time with her and I'm really sad that we will soon be leaving them (I'm about to have another baby so will be looking after them both at home).
The entire family are lovely and their home clean and well organised so i have always felt very comfortable leaving my little boy in that environment. Please contact me directly if you like as I'd be really happy to answer any questions you may have.

That's so lovely to hear. I know you as a family will be missed by my own children and others that attend my care and that have become friends to your little one. I do hope you will stay in contact. I have enjoyed helping your little boy develop, change and become a real charictor all of his own and will miss the cheeky looks and funny faces that he does and knows he is doing lol. I found Sandy through this website when looking for a local babysitter. I've never used a babysitter before so was quite nervous about the whole process. Sandy made it very easy for me, she came round early to meet the children, play with them and help with bedtime. As soon as Sandy came in she put me at ease and was playing trains with my 3 year old son within 10 mins. When we got to story time I was dismissed by my little boy to get ready because he wanted Sandy to read the story rather than me!! I could hear them singing away together. Both children went straight to sleep quite happy in the knowledge that Sandy was going to look after them while mummy and daddy went out. Sandy was so easy to talk to I almost stayed in to sit and have a chat! Sandy bought references and relevant paperwork along with her and I went out happy. I will be using Sandy again next time and recommend her to other mums and dads as a great babysitter.

Sandy has been an absolute treasure! She has not only been extremely flexible with our up and down working hours but she is a genuine, kind and understanding person who has taken great care of our little boy Beau. The learning and development at Sandy's childminding is outstanding! I could not believe the amount of information and feedback Sandy would give after a day with our son. She provided us with a very thorough and detailed book which informed us of all of Beau's learning stages. Not only that but also provided us with a book which each day let us know what she had been doing with Beau, what time he had his feeds, when his nappy was changed and what kind of mood Beau may have been in that day. Sandy also made us a large book full of pictures of Beau and his day to day development. Impressed is an understatement- I have no idea how she does all of this! She is brilliant.
Beau has developed so quickly being at Sandy's. He is one years old and has now been chatting away and just started walking (I think he learnt that from Sandy's little boy rather quickly). Beau is generally a very happy baby but when he comes home from Sandy's he is happy and worn out!! We will miss Sandy very much and I know Beau will miss her too.
Sandy has also been 100% accommodating to our needs (for example: if we have been called in to work last minute). Communication is extremely important between mother and childminder and Sandy has exceeded all my expectations. She has also been that lovely, supportive woman when I've had my ups and downs as a new mummy!
ONE MORE THING...Sandy's home is perfectly set out with sooo many toys and things to do- also in the garden! She is so professional, her home is professional and she deserves the title for the best childminder in Farnham!...and I am so sad to be leaving her!!
