About Me

My name is Tiffany and I am a registered childminder and have been registered since September 2019. I live in Pembury, a residential area close to shops, parks and schools. I have lots of experience with children, as well as being a mother to two girls, Maisy and Mabel.

I am married to Craig who works in London and the occasional day working from home. Maisy is 11 and attends Weald of Kent Grammar in Tonbridge and Mabel is 7 and attends Kent College Prep in Pembury. Both girls are very friendly, gentle and always enjoy other children as company. My husband and I have been together since 2005, we have been married since 2015. We have two dogs called Stanley and Peanut, who are both Puggles and loveable and excellent with children.

I really enjoy being with children and helping them to grow up into little independent people and I can offer a home from home, loving, welcoming and spacious environment, where children can thrive and explore freely. I encourage the children to be outdoors daily and they are free to help themselves to many activities and toy s they wish to play with.

I work Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 5.30pm, which allows flexibility for your working hours.

I offer a safe and stimulating environment in which the children can develop. I give children attention, listen to them and aim to support their learning by following the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage, (September 2023).

In my house the children will have access to:
The Play Room - The children love playing in this room as most of the toys are kept here and there is lots of space for them to engage in imaginative play. We have a toy kitchen area, dolly corner, dolls houses, craft and games cupboards, dressing up trunk and baby area. There is also a reading/cosy corner for children to read books or play with small toys if they feel like having some quiet time.

The Dining Room – The children like to also bring toys into this room for instance Lego or dolls and play. We will also have song time here and on the days where we have dancing/singing/stretching, we will open up our patio doors and breathe in the fresh air. We head outdoors in most weather conditions, so be sure to provide suitable clothing.

The Kitchen – I have a large open plan kitchen with a dining table, which the children do their crafts and painting on. We all have our meals in this room and it is nice to sit around the table and talk about what we have done that day and also observe the birds/wildlife in the garden. I encourage these conversations over tea time.

Downstairs office/Upstairs dressing room – This is where I keep the cots for sleeping. There are black out wooden blinds to ensure your child settles off to sleep with ease and it is close and easy for me to check on your child regularly.

Garden - The children also have access to the garden and I strongly believe in daily outdoor play, as fresh air is so important for the child’s well-being and health. I have a small pirate ship sandpit, wooden play house/cafe, a drain pipe ball run, slide and swings, herb gardens, a small veg patch, lots of ride on bikes and cars and a tuff tray which we use for lots of different activities like water and messy play. I encourage seeding and potting plants in the Spring/Summer months. In the hot Summer months, I have a paddling pool to cool down in. All will require permission from parents rouse outdoor equipment.
