About Me
I am FULLY VACCINATED X2 plus BOOSTER
I have been working with children for over 32 years. In many positions that have been both sole/shared charge and also a proxy mum of many children aged from birth to 20 years. Salary depends on position , hours required and expected responsibilities.
working as a maternity nurse i have many skills working with singlets and multiples :
Experience covers the following ;
Sudden infant death Syndrome ( SIDS) / colic / reflux / silent reflux / health and care of new-born’s / Breast feeding / difficulties with breast feeding / latching on / Formula feeding / CPA guidelines / Tongue tie – identifying / Correct Temperature levels / within the special care baby unit ( SCBU ) Multiples ( twins + triplets ) / Tube feeding / removing and re inserting tubes for feeding / Dr’s rounds / writing up reports / keeping charts up to date / special care baby unit breast feeding advice to mums / overall care of the baby / saturation levels / transitional care to home / Child protection ( addiction )
Then the usual New-born’s Illnesses ( coughs , colds , sticky eye )
Working as part of a team , I would work closely with midwives , health visitors , Drs , clinics.
Specialising with tongue tie , CMA with circumcision’s and help mum with taking their babies to their follow up appointments etc.
As well as looking after the baby mum needs support too. I’m there to help advise and support mum with the following issues and subjects :
Breast engorgement / Lactating / expressing /positioning / Post-natal depression / Nutrition + water / Health and care of post-natal mum / Special Mums ( SCBU ) / Confidence building / transition From hospital to home / Counselling / Breast care / Difficulties with breast feeding / Importance of rest and sleep / Importance of bonding with your baby / Help dealing with Drs appointments and post-natal check-ups / Explaining and supporting mum with the health visitors and midwives appointments
As a “specialist trouble shooter” maternity nurse i am quick to spot any issues with the babies and get them addressed and solved with ease and promptness. i work well with a team and I'm a great support to all family members ( please contact me for specific salary , their are 2 types 19 hours and night charges )
As a special needs Nanny i would be seeking a position where I can have and also offer, long term stability and continuity, within a family / where I can utilize my various talents and skills. ( again charges will differ )
Would also work along side other therapists to help improve a child’s disability . My area of specific interest is speech and language , autism , sensory difficulties , and behaviour management .
I would like to describe myself as an active and highly motivated person . I enjoy arranging a social calendar for my charges. I swim, and love the outdoors. And feels that it is an advantage to have the children spend as much time outside as possible, to enhance their health and well being.
I would arrange activities that stimulate the children ( both main stream and special needs ) to learn and always focuses on what the parent wishes are. I would encourage the children to explore different aspects through creativity and drawing, painting, and actively encouraging the children to participate in educational activities from an early age. And that every child should be given the opportunity to learn in a positive environment
I have a lot of experience working within families that have either special needs children OR their being a specific need with in the family. ( example : addiction and abuse )
My ethos is that the family should be cared for in a holistic way and that it’s not just the children that need the care and support but the family as a whole.
I have also done long term and short term positions working for VIP’s , VVIP’s , UHNW , and celebrities too . And without a shadow of doubt I am more than happy and willing to sign ( NDA) for confidentiality purposes if required .
