My Summary
About Me
Please feel free to discuss anything as I can be flexible.
My Experience
I have worked as a childminder since 2007 caring for children aged 0-13 years old. Having gained an NVQ qualification in childcare, learning and development I am fully aware of childrens goals and achievements and the significance to their development. I do lots of activities with the children in my care as well as visiting different enjoyable places that interest children, so that they can have lots of fun whilst learning too, which in turn promotes the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (as used in nurseries and schools and required by Ofsted). I have worked as a nanny for short periods of time too and have also spent the last 3 years working as a teaching assistant with 4/5 year olds so I am have lots of varying experience in different settings. My main aim is to care for and nurture your child/children, plus be there to assist your family.

Helen looked after our son on a part-time basis between the ages of one and two and a half. We were really sad to have to change childminders as we were completely happy with the service Helen provided and because of the close relationship that she had developed with our son. Helen was always professional with her dealings with us, but at the same time both flexible and approachable.
The range of activities that Helen provided was a strength, from making and doing, to cooking, growing plants and outdoor adventures. I felt like Helen worked in partnership with us in regards to helping our son achieve developmental and educational targets: there was always dialogue regarding what we were doing at home and how she could facilitate those goals.
Helen's home and family are both welcoming and caring and we always had every confident in leaving our son in her care.
