About Me
My name is Lynn and I live in Loxley with my partner, our three children aged 17, 15 and 12 and our dog. We live close to Loxley Primary School and Loxley Nursery. I enjoy spending time outdoors and encourage the children to spend time in the garden, We have a good-sized garden with a large enclosed patio area equipped with ride-on toys, a sandpit and other outdoor toys.
Indoors we have an open plan downstairs with plenty of room for playing, arts and crafts. I enjoy baking and crafts with children. I am registered with OFSTED. I also help run Low Bradfield Baby and Toddler Group and have done for many years now.
My Experience
I have three children of my own and thoroughly enjoy spending time with them. I have a lot of experience working with children as I have spent twenty years working as a primary school teacher both in Sheffield and abroad. Since my children arrived I worked part-time as a supply teacher, mainly in Foundation Stage Units and nurseries so have experience of the Early Years Curriculum. This experience and having my own children made me realise that some children aren't ready for nursery and that I would prefer to work with fewer children and really be able to get to know them properly. I have been childminding for about nine years and my only regret is that I didn't start sooner. I love it.
My Qualifications
I have a BEd (Hons) in Education and I have completed the Cache Level 3 CYPOP course understand how to set up a home based childcare service, which cover aspects of childcare and development, as well as safeguarding.
I have completed a Pediatric First Aid course and Safeguarding training.
My Availability
I work Monday to Thursday.
My usual working hours are from 7.30am until 5pm but if you need slightly different hours please get in touch as I can be flexible.
I currently have some availability - please contact me to discuss days and times etc.
I am very happy to offer a term time only contract if that suits you but am also able to offer care during the school holidays if needed.

I currently charge £5.60 an hour plus £1.50 per day for food
