Hi, my name is Alyson and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. My Ofsted grading is outstanding (2019). I live with my husband and two boys (age 17 and 20). I am a qualified Primary School Teacher and have experience of working with all primary age groups.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage( EYFS) framework, which allows children to achieve and gain knowledge and skills, whilst encouraging healthy development. I plan, observe and reflect which helps to develop the individual needs of each child using their own interests.
We enjoy many different activities and outings e.g. a visit to the park, Washington Wildfowl park, National Trust, soft play areas, play areas, local toy and book libraries, dance classes, role play area, farm, messy play, reading and much more.
I offer all children a safe, fun and happy environment.
School pick ups and drop off are JFK and Barmston schools.
My Experience
I am a parent to 2 older boys and I am qualified Primary School Teacher. I have experience of working with a wide range of different aged children. I am a member of Childcare.Co.Uk and have a good support network of other childminders based in the local community. My experience of working as a Primary school teacher in a school environment has given me an insight into the holistic development of all children, safeguarding policies, diversity and culture and equal opportunities for all children.
