About Me
Hi,
I’m Susan & I live in Knowle with my husband James and our four teenage children who are all in full time education.
We also have 2 small very friendly dogs called Buster & Max.
I provide a calm, loving & friendly home from home childcare experience with my fun loving family.
My Experience
I am an 'GOOD' Ofsted registered childminder at my house, I have also been a childminders assistant for many years before.
I currently have full and part time places available.
My Qualifications
Everyone over the age of 16 are CRB checked, I’m paediatric first aid train & my husband is also first aid trained.
I attend playgroups, soft play, farms, parks, the docks, museums and travel to all the libraries, we also love walks.
At home I offer a very caring, warm clean child-friendly environment.
Children can play freely and play will be child-led, we do a outing each morning or planned activities that include Arts, craft, baking, story, music and dancing.
I’m always refreshing my knowledge with online training.
My Availability
I provide healthy snacks and drinks.
I accept vouchers and funding
I work alongside the early year’s foundation stage.

Susan really offers home away from home. My boy Luca was with her for over 3 years and he loved it. I couldn't be happier as Susan was always very flexible with my schedule and it was an enormous help that she could pick up my boy in the morning. She had a group of boys that were with her for a couple of years, including Luca and they all formed such a lovely relationship. Luca was always happy going to her house and I honestly believe he felt like at home there. He would often come back with some crafts they did for the day or excited that they went to a soft play, playgroup etc. Susan is a lovely, warm person and her family is beautiful and welcoming.

My son have been with Susan for 1 year until he started school these September.
My son enjoyed a lot been in her home with her and her family ,all are absolutely brilliant
He loved to go out to softplay,playgroups and day trips with her.
She helps a lot with his speech and lenguaje development and he loves to sing lots a new songs, he improves lots his speech and lenguaje
From day 1 he was Happy to go and he made lovely friends.
I can 't thank her enough for all the support , without any family support here,she has been wonderful.
Thank you very much for all this time looking after Aiden.

Susan looked after my little boy for me until he went to nursery this September. She was absolutely brilliant with him, as were her lovely family and her gorgeous dogs. I really felt like Mason was a part of the family, and he absolutely loved his time there. He would get so excited as we got close to her house and was always asking to go and see Sue Sue.
He made some lovely friends while he was there and learnt to interact well with other children.
Susan also provided healthy snacks which helped to introduce Mason to some new foods.
Susan was really good at taking them out during the days and Mason loves going to “wacky house” and playgroup in particular.
She was also fabulous at arts and crafts and always ensured we had a gift made my Mason for special occasions.
Susan was always really accommodating with any changes to our schedule, which was so helpful to us. Her communication was great and she was always really reliable, giving us plenty of notice for holidays etc.
I can’t recommend Susan highly enough, and both Mason and I were very sad that his time with her ended and he was off to nursery. He still talks about her now. Absolutely fantastic experience with Susan. Thank you for taking such good care of our little man.

My son started with Sue from the age of one and stayed for 2 years. This was our first time using a childminder so I was about anxious leaving my son with someone he didn't know, but he instantly took to her and her family, settling in straight away.
It's a home from home for my boy and Sue treats the children like one of her own. You are amazing Sue thank you for all you've done!

Sue has looked after my 3 year old since he was 8 months old. We have developed an almost family like bond. I’m so happy with everything Sue has done for him, she goes above and beyond for all the children in her care. It’s a home from home setting and my boy has just loved it. Devasted to leave her for pastures new! But will always have fond memories! Get your kids booked with sue!

Susan has looked after my daughter from the age of 11 months until she started school. Susan has provided a nurturing, kind and action packed space for my daughter to grow, learn and thrive. She has offered me lots of reassurance and has been supportive and responsive through the years especially in the early days when I was so nervous about being apart from my daughter.
Susan is flexible, knowledgeable & dedicated to the families in her care.
It was soon like leaving my daughter with family. She always came home with so many stories of activities and craft presents for me. Susan’s children are a credit to her and her husband and are equally beloved by my daughter.
I could not recommend Susan more and I’m so blessed to have her as part of my daughters story.

Sue has looked after my girls for many year and I cannot say a bad word, summer months she’s taken them to the beach parks & long walks, in winter months softplay, sensory classes and other trips/groups. Her house is always tidy and has lots to do! Sue is so happy and friendly, i always get photos of the girls and they are always so happy, my youngest daughter is just under 2 and gets so excited to go to sueys house!
I couldn’t recommend Sue enough 5* from me and my children!

Sue looked after our one year old from Sept-Dec 2020. Sue was very flexible (which we really needed when we were originally faced with the prospect of mum and dad both commuting out of Bristol for work), and was great with our little one right from the very start - he always had a big smile on his face when we approached Sue's front door each morning and when we picked him up at the end of the day, which was really reassuring for us. We also really liked how Sue's own children, who were all very kind and polite, really took to our little one and he clearly loved being around them. The only reason we are no longer with Sue is I'm now a home worker and so flexibility is less of a priority as I can reliably collect our son from a nursery (which was always our preferred setting for our unusually high energy baby!!). I'd highly recommend Sue!!
