About Me
Hi I’m Claire and I childmind in the Walkden, Worsley area. I have been a Childminder for 20 years now and its my passion and I really do love it. I have the best job in the world everyday is different, everyday is full of fun and laughter.
I would describe myself as a loving, fun, caring person who is motivated, energetic and fit, which helps in keeping up with lively little ones.
I am committed to working with parents and families to support their children as they learn and grow.
I aspire to provide a nurturing, family focused and a home from home atmosphere that is fun and welcoming.
I have a spacious well resourced home with a purpose build play room with a connecting garden. All areas are planned out to suit the needs of the children ensuring they are kept busy, stimulated and have fun whilst they play and learn.
Children are supported to learn and develop through play, everyday routines, educational activities and outings. I am very much an advocate for providing for the individual needs and interests of the children and sponsor this within my planning, resources and visits within the community.
I take the children on many different outings to ensure they have a variety of experiences to enrich their learning and development whilst also fulfilling their need for fun and investigation. These outings include woodland walks, farms, soft play, library, toddler groups, beach, parks and so on.
I have two children of my own who are 18 and 21. My children are fully supportive of my childminding business and they share my love and passion for childminding and love being part of the all the children’s lives.
Children are like butterflies, each one is different, each one is special, each one is beautiful.
My Experience
I am able to draw down funding for 2, 3 and 4 year old children.
My Qualifications
I am level 5 qualified.
I have completed my foundation degree in early years at Bolton University.
I have completed my NVQ 3.
I have worked at the Little Hulton children centre.
I have volunteered at my local school to enhance my professional development.
I attend regular training sessions in the evenings and weekends to update my knowledge and to ensure I stay up to date with current practice and contemporary thinking.
My Availability
My daily hours currently are 7.30 – 5.00 Monday to Friday. (Although I can be flexible so please contact me for more information)
