My Summary

My Experience

I completed a GCSE in Child Development at High School and also did my year 11 work experience in a Primary school. Following this I acheived The BTEC National Diploma In Childhood Studies And Nursery Nursing- Level 3 at Norwich City college (Many modules were marked at Distinction or Merit grade) The course involved 2 days a week within work placements including Nursery and Primary schools and also in home settings working with families (Including 2 families with twins and one with additional needs)

It was during the family placements that I decided I wanted to persue a career as a Nanny, so from college I started a job with a family who had 2 children aged 18 months and 4 and I cared for them sole charge for a year.

After this I had another year where I did part time work with 3 local families- continuing to work for my original family but on a part time basis, as well as caring for a 8 month old baby and helping a mother out with 4 boys between the ages of 5 and 10 and a baby of 4 months.

After that I found a full time position which lasted for just over 2 years looking after children ages 3, 7 and 9. I then went on to care for sisters aged 1 and 4, where I stayed for 2 and a half years.

After this I had brief break from nannying when I went to work at St. Giles nursery in Norwich City Centre as Room leader of the 2-3 years age group for 6 months.

Next I worked for a family of twins aged 1 where I remained for a year and a half before I began my maternity leave to have my own son- Lewis (now 4)

When Lewis was 8 months old I began working for a family with two boys age 10 months and 3 years. I took Lewis along to work with me and he became very good friends with the boys. I stayed in this posistion for nearly 2 years before leaving to become a Childminder working from my own home. Since then I've had my second son, Samuel.

After having Sammy I worked part time as a Nanny for 2 families taking him with me to work.

More recently I've been doing more adhoc babysitting and Nanny work for various families which I find works very well around my own responsibilities as a Mum.

I also enjoy cleaning and tidying and have done a small amount of professional home cleaning work alongside my childcare service.

My Availability

Babysitting and Nanny work. adhoc ideal as is overnight. Very flexible, please ask.

• Nannying from £12.50 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
