Ofsted registered Good childminder for 23 years.
I love my job and really enjoy helping children learn and develop in my care. I offer a warm and caring home from home environment following the EYFS curriculum. We have regular outings to parks, woods, toddler groups and childrens gym where the children can can explore different environments and socialise with other children. I encourage healthy eating and provide all meals in my fees.
My Experience
I have brought up 3 children of my own and been childminding for 23 years . Over this time I have cared for children from 3 months until 14 years old, some with special educational and medical needs, also with different dietary requirements.
My Qualifications
Level 3 in children and young peoples work force.
Paediatric first aid. Safeguarding training.
My Availability
I will have space from January 2025 for a baby:
Mon & Thursday 7.30-5.30
Tues & Wednesday 9-3
I have a space for 5 years and up for before and after Thames View school
Also 8 year olds and over for holiday care

Pippa has been taking care of my 3 year old son whilst I work since September 2019. During this time I have been more than delighted with the service that Pippa provides. She always keeps me updates throughout the day with photos, information on food eaten, nappies, activities etc. Tristan eats a wide variety of foods whilst with Pippa and he eats better (in terms of eating ALL of his food) there than he does at home! I love how well informed she keeps me. I also get regular updates on key observations and how they relate to his development.
Pippa is very experienced as she has been childminding for many years and has 3 adult children of her own. If you are ever unsure on anything (whether it be funding options or how to tackle issues you are having with your little one) she will usually be able to advise or point you in the right direction, and will always be honest with you.
Pippa’s home and garden are very well equipped for children and are always clean and tidy. There are plenty of fun and educational toys and activities for the children to engage with.
My son settled in well very quickly with Pippa, and I have had no problems with ‘handing him over’ in the mornings. He is happy to go to Pippa and just takes himself straight off into the living room as soon as we get there.
My son absolutely adores Pippa and gets very excited in the morning when I tell him he is going to see her. His speech has come along a lot since being with Pippa as well as his confidence! He is a very active child and Pippa always manages to keep him well entertained and wear him out with fun activities!
I would definitely recommend Pippa as a reliable and trustworthy childminder, who will make any child and parent feel at ease with her care.

I am privileged to be able to look after your amazing little bundle of fun and value lovely parents like you at my setting.
My children have loved their time with Pippa. They have had amazing days out, met some lovely friends and kept busy with a range of craft activities. Pippa is so friendly and welcoming, as and I really liked being able to keep udated via the Famly app. Would highly recommend.

Pippa is a childminder every parent wishes for when it comes to safety and care of their child/children and she does it so brilliantly. I recommend her to any parent that wants to feel comfortable and mind rested while they are away from their kids.

My daughter is 4 years old & has been with Pippa since she was 9 months old.
I cannot fault the care my daughter has received over this time & love the varied activities she is always involved in.
Pippa provides a warm & welcoming home environment and for my daughter it is a home from home.
During the day Pippa always ensures she is kept busy & stimulated with arts & crafts, garden games, woodland walks, dance groups, toddler group, reading, visits to the park, days out in the holidays & varied learning activities, etc.
Pippa sends photos of what they have been up to & we are always so pleased to see how much she enjoys herself everyday.
I have always felt my daughter is in safe & caring hands & wouldn’t go anywhere else for childcare.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a childminder.

Pippa is an outstanding carer. She has cared for both of my children, one who has extra medical needs.
Pippa provides a very warm, welcoming home environment and makes the children feel loved, happy and safe. She provides a delicious hot meal that my children enjoy. In the past she has celebrated the childrens birthdays with after school parties, which the children loved. She makes them all feel special and like part of her own family.
Pippa always has a happy, friendly attitude and is a great communicator with both myself and my children, but is also good at setting boundaries and dealing with behavioural issues when they arise, she is not a push over, which I think is important.
The children attend regular excursions such as forest school, trips to the park and the dockyard. They have also been pumpkin picking in the fall and visited Nott Cutts at Christmas time for festive fun. They also spend time at local weekly pre school clubs to help with social skills and personal development.
The children always looks happy and get on well despite all the different ages. I am so thankful to have had her input into my son’s development over the last 18 months and will always be grateful for how well she has cared for him.

Pip was providing wrap around care for my step daughter and we were very lucky that she was also able to provide child care for my 9 month old daughter when I returned to work. I was very anxious about leaving my daughter but Pippa has been just brilliant. Shes helped settled my anxiety by sending me updates and photos of what they are doing during the day which I really appreciated. My daughter adores her and loves her Mondays with her. Pippa provides a varied range of activities and my daughter is settled with her and is very happy in her care.

Pippa has looked after both of our boys over the last 5 years. She has provided a comfortable and secure place for our boys to learn and develop, whilst offering a good range of age appropriate activities and tasks for them to engage in. Pippa offers healthy meals and snacks, which the children will sometimes get involved in making. She has good communication with parents and will often pass on messages from our children's
teachers which can be vital for their well being. As parents, we can go to work without worrying about the care of our boys, secure in the knowledge they are safe. Highly recommended!

We found Pip through a personal recommendation and have never looked back!
Apprehensive about returning to work and leaving our son in the care of someone else, Pip took the time to gently welcome us all into her home. From the moment we met her we knew that she would care for our son whilst providing a stimulating and loving environment.
Pip makes every effort to tailor our son’s time with her to suit his needs and likes. She knows how to get the best from him whether it be social or learning and always gets a smile from him when he is feeling down.
The environment at Pip’s is like one big family with all age ranges mixing together. It has been wonderful to see our son grow and learn within this. From birthday celebrations to picking activities tailored to the children, everyone at Pip’s Place is happy and content.
We couldn’t recommend Pip more highly!
