About Me
Hi, My name is Kay and I am an OFSTED registered childminder in Normanton and care for children from birth in a fun and friendly home environment. I am a member of Childcare.co.uk and I am fully insured. I live with my partner Lee. We are both DBS checked. We have a son Harry who is 16 years old and a daughter Ellie who is 19 years old. We also have a dog called Ernie. I work with an assistant, Olivia who has a level 2 childcare qualification & is now working towards a level 3 qualification.
My Experience
I have many years experience in childcare in various settings. I have been a registered childminder since september 2006.
My Qualifications
I am N.N.E.B Qualified and hold a fist aid and food hygiene certificate. I am constantly doing training to update my skills. I accept funding for eligible children from 9 months.
I have completed the EYFS certificate (Early years foundation stage) Level 3
My Availability
I am currently full & have no vacancies until Sept 2026
I pick up & drop off at Lee Brigg infants & nursery school & Altofts junior school.

Our little boy has been going to Kays for nearly 3 years and has always really enjoyed his time with Kay and her team. He goes before and after school and also some holiday cover. Kay does lots of activities, days out and crafts which our son loves. Always accommodating, friendly and kind, we can't thank her enough.

My daughter has been going to Kay now for a year and she absolutely loves her time with Kay. Kay ensures the best quality of care is given to all those in her care and I couldn't be any happier with how well she supports my daughters needs and development. Kay is very approachable and friendly.

My son has been going to Kay since he was 10 months old and he is now nearly 4. He absolutely adores going there! He has learnt so much and his development is utterly remarkable.
Kay always engages my son it a lot of activities both in the comfort of her own home which my son calls his second house and also in the many trips out she takes him on.
The amount of time and effort Kay puts into looking after our children and treating them like her own is amazing.
Kay is a lovely person with all the time in the world for my son and me as a parent. She has helped me out with my childcare over and above what’s expected on many occasions!
Couldn’t rate her more highly if I tried.
To leave your little one in the hands of someone else is a scary thing but Kay immediately puts you at ease and you just know that your child is in the best caring and loving hands.

My little boy has been going to Kay since he was 10 months old, he is now 3. Kay has been amazing and extremely reliable. He has learnt so many skills whilst in her care. I would highly recommend Kay. The children are always out and about at different groups which is one of the reasons I chose Kay. He loves to go, it is a home from home environment.

My daughter has attended Kays4kids since she was 9 months old Kay has encouraged her development. Kay is caring, understanding and her setting feels like a home from home I cannot recommend her enough.

Kay is brilliant with my little girl, she’s not the easiest child to look after but she’s had her since 6 months old when mr returning to work full time. Nothing it too much hassle and Kay always keeps me updated. She takes the children everywhere and the setting is like a nursery itself. So many toys! Really happy and feel at ease leaving her for 9 hours a day here. Chloe & Hannah are fabulous too!

My 2 girls aged 7 & 5 have been with Kay for approx 4 years and absolutely love her! I work varying shift pattern which I have found a lot of Childminder’s will not accommodate however, Kay has always been flexible and happy to help out at the drop of a hat! She takes them out on trips and regularly posts updates on her closed FB page so you know what your children have been up to throughout the day! I cannot recommend her enough and it gives me peace of mind knowing my children are in safe hands when they’re not with me :-)

My daughter attended Kays4kids for over 5 years and loved every minute !!!!
Kay made my decision to go back to work full time much easier knowing that Hattie was happy, safe and cared for.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for kay. She would always accommodate any requests that I had either for myself or Hattie and hattie was always made to feel like part of the family.
I cannot thank kay enough for giving hattie that best start in life and for being a second mum to her while I was working.

My daughter has been going to Kays4Kids from being 8 months old. She was a really clingy baby that suffered with separation anxiety but within a couple of days of being with Kay she'd gone from screaming and crying when I left her to the contented little girl that I knew and had at home.
Kay and her team are superb in everything they do with the children in their care. They're patient and very hands on providing them with a wide range of activities, engaging them in numerous play settings to help them further their social skills and they genuinely do care.
When my little girls been off due to illness Kay always phones to check how she is and if extra help with childcare arrangements are required she always tries to accommodate her.
I've never got the feeling that my daughter is just a number with Kay and the fact that my little girl enjoys going to 'my Kay's'' (as she calls her) makes going to work so much easier.
I honestly can't thank Kay and her team enough.

my 2 year old has been with kay for nearly a year now and i know i made the right choice when deciding where she should go whilst im at work, my little one is excited to go and play all the time and I sometimes find it hard to get her to come hom.
I would recommend kay to anyone that is looking for a fun friendly and safe learning environment for there child
