My Summary
About Me
I am a capable, calm and sociable Norland practitioner who enjoys working with families and facing new challenges. I have an energetic, proactive and hardworking approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to get on well with others.
I understand my role within the family is help and support, and I pride myself on being a team player who is flexible to the needs of those I work with.
I have a wide range of personal interest including drama, music, photography and a love of learning. I endeavour to bring these interests into the lives of the children that I work with and also assist them to develop their own.
My life experience, skills and achievements has enabled me to develop a sound basis for pursuing my passion and career choice within the ‘caring’ and ‘loving’ profession of childcare.
My Experience
Employment History
June 2022 – December 2022
London – World Wide Travel
Sole charge Nanny for 1 girl age 18 months, high profile family. This role required extensive travel across the world, requiring planning, organisation, communication, and forward thinking. In this role I interacted with many people including high profile clients , nannies, house staff security and other members of an extensive team required for the family to travel for work and personal reasons. In this role I was responsible for all nursery duties including researching age-appropriate local activates, products, packing, cooking and laundry. Within this role my knowledge and experience in security was essential in order to keep the family safe and away from paparazzi enabling me to work within an extensive team of security and expand my own knowledge and practice in this area. This role is very special as it allowed me to pass on knowledge advice and tips to a single working first time mum and help guide her and her extended family into next developmental phases of her daughter’s life.

Kensington – London, England
Head permanent live in nanny for 3 girls age 5 years ,2 years,18 months and 4th due in July. This was a shared care role working alongside 3 other rota nannies who worked 24/7, security and drives in a formal fully staffed household. My role as head nanny is to monitor the care and development of all the children and teach and train the other nannies to ensure best practice. Within this role I was responsible for extracurricular activities, monitor school and nursery communications alongside their development, ensuring all travel arrangements are suitable for the children, communication with all members of the household team including PA’s and EA’s and of course the parents. I was also relied upon to ensure that the children had everything they needed from suitable shoes and clothing for all occasions, toys and books for their individual abilities and menu planning for each dietary requirement. Within this role my knowledge as a nanny and maternity nurse is invaluable especially when it came to interviewing future nannies and maternity nurses to ensure the right candidates were introduced to the family and could join our team and in order for the family to flourish.
October 1st, 2019- October 2021
California -Los Angles/Palm Springs/Los Olivo’s/San Diego/Montana- Yellowstone/Rollins - North America
Permanent residential nanny for two children 18 month old boys. This role was shard care with the mother on a rota basis, with two other nannies. My role was head nanny, and my focus was on the care and education of the children. However due to the challenges of Covid my role within the family changed, I became responsible for the boys on a daily basis and also at night. The family also travelled extensively over this time from houses all over California to Montana and Hawaii. Here I was responsible for all the packing, organising, planning as well as ensuring we had educational activities suitable for our travel and locations. During this role I was able to purse my passion for planning and providing educational and developmental activates suitable to the children’s interests and abilities in order to reinforce their knowledge and understanding and challenge them in order to help them grow. In this role was given the opportunity to work with the mother and medical professionals and gain further knowledge and a passion for holistic and homeopathic treatments for a wide variety of childhood illnesses and bumps. I was also given the opportunity to work within a team of nannies , who were very welcoming and willing to learn and grow themselves , I believe we made a great team and our open and honest communication allowed us all to remain constant and confident when working with the children enabling them to understand and respect boundaries and make their life run that little bit smoother.

September 2014 – March 2019
Doncaster, England
Permanent residential nanny for three children, one aged 9 months at the commencement of post and identical twin boys born during my position, this role is shared care with the children's grandmother and the parents. The twins were premature born premature 3 months into my role and in addition to this I also assumed care of the children's 6 month cousin when her mother returned to work. It has been a wonderful and challenging job to work with the grandmother, taking care of four children under the age of 2 years old.
This role has taught me to have excellent time management skills and how to be calm and collected in a busy environment, as well as the importance of patience, and flexibility.
I work in a team of household staff, providing them with direction in relation to the children. It is my role to ensure that the children's areas are clean and tidy, their clothes are laundered, and nutritious meals are provided. I am responsible for carrying out age appropriate activities with them and aiding their development. I also have assisted in planning and organising family events and parties.
Throughout my time with the family I have provided babysitting and proxy parenting, both scheduled and unscheduled, plus holiday and weekend travel support. When on holiday I am responsible for packing for the children and any other preparation, when away I organise any activities and trips.
For the last 10 months I have been assisting the eldest child with homework and reading as well as working with the grandmother to prepare the twins and their cousin for preschool, I work hard to encourage and promote their passion for learning. We have found that my engaging the children in practical activities such as cooking and baking we have been able to incorporate skills such as counting the ability to follow instructions.
This role has been a life changing experience, one that has taught me so much about myself and undeniably furthered my skills and development. I have loved helping and assisting these children grow and hope they continue to progress.
