About Me

Hello, my name is Isobel. I am a mother to two boys; Forest (3yrs) and Leander (1year). We live in the Coppermill lane area of Walthamstow, near the wetlands and beautiful marshes.

We have a house with a small garden and an allotment nearby where we spend our time growing vegetables(?!), bug hunting and building dens when the weather is fine! We enjoy the local playgrounds and have just started going to some fun local playgroups.

I am looking to provide childcare in our loving home environment for a family with a child who will be a similar age to my youngest son who was born in August 2020.

My background is in Arts and Health and I managed the arts programme at Great Ormond Street Hospital for many years, until leaving to work on freelance projects after I had my first child.

When my eldest son was a baby I successfully coordinated a childcare swap with a local parent with a baby the same age. We began the swap when the boys were a year old and I formally provided childcare for 1.5 days per week until they were both 3 and started nursery together. The boys are very close and as parents we continue to support each other now that they are at school. I found the experience very rewarding and it has been wonderful to see the boys grow together during their precious early years.

I have over ten years experience of running art projects for children and families in schools, hospitals, museums and galleries, where I have worked with children with complex physical and emotional needs. Prior to this I worked as a nanny for several years.

I am positive and encouraging and provide sociable and inspiring activities and outings. I enjoy cooking and I provide healthy and nutritious meals and snacks. I am clean, tidy, punctual and organised and I have worked hard to provide positive learning experiences and a happy and nurturing environment for all the children I have cared for.
