About Me
Hi, my name is Carolyn and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder.
My aim is to provide high quality care to meet each child's needs in a fun, caring and stimulating environment; whilst maintaining a friendly and flexible approach.
I live in Westone within walking distance of Abington Park, Weston Favell library and various tots groups, all of which we visit regularly.
A typical day will involve a trip out as well as many home-based activities. During the day I provide nutritional snacks and meals.
I work term-time only.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for over 25 years. I have looked after many children in this time, between the ages of one month to eleven years.

BA (hons)
First Aid
I have attended numerous training courses - details of these can be viewed in my portfolio, alongside my policies and references.

We chose carolyn to be our childminder for our our little girl as she came recommended and she exceeded our expectations she was very interactive with our 2yr old teaching her lots and drawing lots we were sad to leave but due to relocating we had no choice we highly recommend Carolyn and miss her lots

Carolyn has looked after my son on a part time basis for 2 years. There has not been a single day where he has not enjoyed going, and always comes home very happy. Carolyn makes a big effort to go to play groups, the library and on other outings. My son has always come home with a craft or activity he has busy doing that day, and with the use of Baby Days online system I have always been able to see pictures of what my son has been busy doing that day. Carolyn has always been flexible, provided good communication and has never had a day off sick in our 2 years. She was great when my son was learning to walk, dropping his naps and potty training! I would highly recommend Carolyn and feel her services are exceptional value for money!

Carolyn child-minded my two toddlers aged 26 and 12 months for about 3 months last year before I moved away from Northampton.
They settled quickly with her and within 3 weeks there were never any tears as I left my children. They looked forward to going to her. She always had a cuddle ready when it was needed and understood concerns and problems easily.
She did baking and craft on a regular basis and got the children out and about every day.
She respects individual requests without query and is very professional about all aspects of childcare.
I would highly recommend her and would use her again if I moved back to Northampton.

My daughter came to Carolyn for a number of months, and enjoyed the activities of which were provided, she also commented on numerous occasions about Carolyn's parrot! Carolyn was always very accommodating to our needs which was a great help. Great childminder.

Our little girl has been looked after by Carolyn, on a part time basis, since she was 9 months old. I couldn't be happier with the care she receives from Carolyn and her family. Carolyn works so hard to create great opportunities for the children in a brilliant environment. She takes our little girl to groups and the local library regularly as well as setting up a range of activities for the children to engage in every day. I am a teacher myself and can honestly say that Carolyn is an excellent practitioner and is very mindful of the ways in which she can support the children's development. She has an online diary system which she updates after every session so that we know what our lgs eaten etc and photographs from the day. Carolyn has made my return to work so much easier as I know that our lg is in a great, stimulating environment where nurture and care is at the heart. Highly recommend!
