My Summary
About Me
FULL / PART TIME, BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE (CHASE BRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL) VACANCIES AVAILABLE - NATIVE GERMAN SPEAKING CHILDMINDER!
My name is Emmy and I am a friendly and caring qualified OFSTED registered Childminder with over 20 years of childcare plus 11 years of mummyhood experience.
I live in our lovely home with a secure back garden with my daughter in Isleworth / Whitton / Twickenham borders, just a few minutes walk from the Twickenham Rugby stadium.
After being a full time Nanny for over 15 years I have decided to become a Childminder to enjoy the wonderful opportunity to combine doing what I love professionally with being able to spend quality time with my own daughter.
I am by nature very nurturing, warm, reliable and trustworthy. My main emphasis as a Childminder is, to offer all children a genuine home-based care.
I offer a true home from home, safe, fun, loving and caring environment with a structural, yet flexible, routine which enables and encourages little ones to develop to their full potential.
I take great care in considering each child’s individual needs, treat them with respect and give them gentle guidance to support them to build self-esteem; according to their age, irrespective to their gender, race, ability, religion, culture, class or family status.
Learning trough play is my absolute main focus and vital key for children to thrive emotionally, physically and socially which is reflected in the variety of toys and activities I offer on daily bases.
I have a vast selection of imaginative toys, arts and crafts materials, puzzles and jigsaws, educational toys, dolls, dressing up, cars, home corner toys, animals, Duplo, musical instruments, sensory toys as well as a great choice of picture, story and fact books in English and German as well access to children's music, which are perfect for silly dancing and doing action songs.
I am a native German speaker and am very happy to incorporate this in my daily care if desired.
We also go to regular trips for example to Kew Gardens, the play ground, play groups, indoor soft play areas, parks and to feed the ducks and have regular playdates with other childminders / mummies and their children.
We cook, bake, grow plants and learn about everyday life and the world surrounding us.
Our home is situated very conveniently close to good bus routes, a park with a play ground (just 5 minutes walk) and we are only a short walk from the local library, shops and a pharmacy.
I have also professional, as well as personal experience in caring for children with eczema, severe food allergies, severe allergic reactions and asthma.
I take my role as a Childminder extremely seriously, am very professional and a great communicator. Working with you as a parent is an important part of taking care of your children and a vital key factor in supporting them in succeeding with each developmental milestone.
As a mum myself, I am in the unique position to genuinely relate to other parents and, know first-hand how difficult it can be to leave your little one in the care of someone else.
To make settling in as easy as possible, I make sure that there is a very personal, cosy feel to my home setting, with a relatively small number of children with the emphasis of keeping a true family-like atmosphere which is very welcoming and comfy for each child and parent.
If you are interested in a chat; please do not hesitate contacting me and I very much look forward hearing from you soon!
Many thanks and kind regards, Emmy :)

It is with great pleasure that I provide this glowing reference for Emmy, who has been an exceptional childminder for our son, Joshua, over the past year. Emmy's dedication, warmth, and professionalism have made her an invaluable part of Joshua's growth and development.
Emmy's strong communication skills have been evident from the very beginning. She consistently kept us informed about Joshua's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns that arose. Her daily updates became a key part of our day and we really looked forward to receiving them. Her open and transparent communication style not only put our minds at ease but also ensured that we were actively involved in Joshua's care and development.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Emmy's care has been her focus on enhancing Joshua's motor skills. Through engaging activities and play-based learning experiences, she has helped Joshua develop both fine and gross motor skills. Whether it's through arts and crafts, outdoor play, or sensory activities, Emmy always finds creative ways to encourage Joshua to explore and strengthen his physical abilities.
Emmy's dedication to Joshua's learning has not gone unnoticed by others. Countless friends and family members have commented on how much Joshua has grown and learned under Emmy's care. From his expanding vocabulary to his curiosity about the world around him, it's clear that Emmy's nurturing environment has provided Joshua with a solid foundation for learning and development.
During his time under Emmy's care, Joshua not only thrived in her nurturing environment but also formed a beautiful bond with her daughter, Hanner. Their connection blossomed, and it was heartwarming to witness the joy they shared whenever Hanner returned home from school. This special relationship added an extra layer of warmth and love to Joshua's experience, further highlighting Emmy's ability to create a nurturing and familial atmosphere for the children in her care.
In summary, Emmy has been an outstanding childminder for Joshua over the past year. Her strong communication skills, focus on motor skills development, and dedication to Joshua's learning have had a profound impact on his growth and well-being. We wholeheartedly recommend Emmy to any family seeking exceptional childcare services.
Our son has been attending Emmy’s setting for a little over 1.5 years ( since he was 11 months) and it is the best decision we made.
Emmy supported us entirely with the transition and settling period as our son hadn’t been left with anyone apart from family due to the lockdown periods but Emmy ensured that the process was smooth and supportive for my son but also for myself and my husband as first time parents.
Each day is filled with exciting activities ranging from free play to more focused activities such as mini beasts, the weather and keeping healthy. The daily updates are a delight and my favourite thing to look forward to each day. She gives lots of details about how the day has unfolded and sends lots of photos which make you feel as though you can also be a part of the experience.
I can see tonnes of growth and progression in my son’s development ranging from his communication skills, his personal development to more specific skills such as his fine motor, counting skills, mark making and undoubtably his amazing love of reading.
Emmy is very flexible, super supportive and our son literally runs into her house every morning, super excited for his day, and leaves with a great big smile!
The only reason we are leaving is due to relocation outside of London but we cannot thank Emmy enough for the wonderful experience she has provided our son over the past 1.5 years.
Emmy is a passionate for children care and wellbeing. She is loving, caring and trustworthy. Our son has been in Emmy's care 4 day's per week for 1.5 years now since he turned 2. He absolutely loves it!!! Emmy makes sure every day is interesting, exciting, packed with fun but also learning sessions. We have watched our Alex grow in Emmy's care, learnt to speak with beautiful full sentences, being interested in exploring the world around him and making gorgeous art work for many occasions throughout the year. Emmy serves home made food and Alex is enjoying her menu even though he's been a fussy eater. We love the fact that Emmy is communicating daily with us sending a detailed report from the day Alex had, and backing it up with photos. We will definitely miss our Emmy's care and flexibility with drop off and pick up as Alex is moving on to school nursery in couple of months. We highly recommend Emmy's childcare services to all the parents.
My daughter has been going to Emmy since she was 14 months old and she loves it there. She use to go 2 days a week but recently we increased to 4 days a week. Emmy is so down to earth, friendly, kind and caring. My daughter settled pretty quickly with Emmy which was great as she had never been left with anyone but family before so was such a relief to see how quick she settled.
The daily detailed update with photos is a lovely touch and it's so nice to see what they've been up to during the day. The activities that they do are so much fun! My daughter's development has come a long way since being with Emmy.
My daughter literally runs to the door in the mornings and is straight in without so much as a look round to say bye she's that excited to go.
Emmy is also pretty flexible and has been able to help us with extra childcare at short notice when we've needed it.
Our son has been going three days a week to Emmy for a year. He loves it there and Emmy is fantastic. She's great with children, very dedicated, thinks up lots of fun activities for them, cooks amazing meals and is also really good at teaching useful skills like learning to dress and helping with tidying up. She's also amazing at communicating with parents and sends detailed updates with photos each day. The only reason we're reducing his days there is because I am on maternity leave again.
