About Me

Hello.

I'm Julie, and I am a proactive, calm and creative professional nanny with 25+ years experience of caring for children of all ages. I have a genuine love of children and their development, and I take a particular interest in Early Years Communication, which led me to learn both Makaton and BSL.

I believe in providing a warm and supportive range of developmental activities, from sensory and messy play to playgroups, music and movement classes, and play-dates, and take a child led approach to learning and having fun.

I have run a sensory play group for the last 5 years, and believe fully in a learning through play approach.

I also like cuddles, jumping in muddy puddles and feeding the ducks in the park.

My Experience

I have 25 + years of experience with children from birth to 10 years, as well as having 2 step children who are both adults now!

I have experience with Weaning, Potty Training, Supporting children when they are settling in nursery, and with the birth of their siblings.

I also have experience of working with children with reflux, and children for whom English is not their first language.

My Qualifications

BTEC National Diploma in Caring services.
Paediatric First Aid and Epipen training.
BSL Baby Sign Language Training.
Makaton levels 1 - 4.
