About Me
I am a teacher originally from New York, but have been teaching in the U.K. for 19 years. I have taught both EYFS,KS1,KS2, and have received my QTLS to be able to teach Secondary students who need catch-up due to illness being placed in care or any other unforeseen circumstance that may result in the young person missing large blocks of education.
I have extensive experience with young people with anxiety brought on by circumstances surrounding the attending of school settings and children whom have difficulty engaging with educational professionals due to circumstances involving lack of routine since the pandemic.
I have taught 1:1 students and in groups and can teach virtually via zoom, or another media style whichever suits best.
I try to be as accommodating as possible for the sake of the students so that I can build up trust with both you (parents/carers) and my students.
Teaching and learning is a two way street and in order for it to work there must be an open minded or growth- mindset attitude towards the situation for it to succeed. For some children with trauma in their pasts this may be a more difficult task. I am completely committed to doing what is needed to help ensure that I help every student I work with teach their potential. However long it might take. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

My Experience
I have taught all over the world and to many different educational needs. From basic English reading and Writing skills, to preparation for SATs and 11+ qualifications. SEN is a real area of strength as well. Behaviour challenges and lack of attention or interest is also a strong suit of mine.
My Qualifications
Teaching 25 years. Associates in Social Sciences, Bachelors of Sciences in Elementary Education and History, key focus in SEN strategies, have taught all over Southend/ Thurrock area and East London.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
I charge depending on needs and numbers of students per session. Approx.£25-30/hr. Contact me for rates on more than once/week or special circumstances.
